As Mackenzie had fell asleep between my arms, I took notice of Nadia. I wasn't really expecting her here, well, I couldn't blame her for coming since she's literally Ruby's sister.
The movie is showing the credits already, Nadia and I are the only ones awake. Mackenzie fell asleep, Hayden and Annie fell asleep on the mattress, legs tangled, Carson is snoring very loud, and Ruby and Lauren is curled up into a ball, like armadillos.
"It's only us I guess," I grin, and Nadia looks.
"Oh, hi John." Nadia replies, bringing a strand of her hair behind her ear.
It was super awkward since she used to be my girlfriend, and that we didn't end on the best of terms, but we're pretty good now, but it's still awkward.
"We can't be like this whenever we're alone, we have to get used to the fact that we'll still see eachother at times." I say, she nods in response.
"You wanna go to the carnival or something?" I ask.
"Sure, it's been long since I've been there." She says.
Unfortunately, Nadia and I didn't bring any outdoor clothes, well, she had the opportunity to wear outdoor attire but she chose not to for the sake of me not being lonely. Nadia wore an oversized pink hoodie with navy blue pajamas, while we have me wearing a black hoodie and orange shorts.
Once we arrived, we immediately went to the shooting range, our favorite when we were still dating. We'd usually get the stuffed animals— mostly for Nadia. Oh, I remember those days.
"Aha! I bet I can afford enough tokens for that stuffed penguin before you. Challenge?" She asks, enthusiastic.
"Challenge accepted," I say as I shook her hand.
We shot and shot, until I finally got the target. The penguin had caused 45 tokes.
"Ha! I have 69 tokens! I can already get that penguin!" I say.
"Dang it! I still got 43," She says, pouting. This was one of her tricks so she can get the stuffed animal.
"You can't play that trick on me, we're not dating anymore!" I laugh.
"Just because we broke up that doesn't mean that I can't use the trick! And who said I was using it?" She asks.
"That just made it obvious." I say.
"But fine, just because I'm nice." I say, handing the stuffed penguin to Nadia.
"Ha, it worked." She says, sticking her tongue out like an immature 5 year old.
The night was filled with fun, we ended up having 3 stuffed animals by the end of the day, all of them earned by me and given to Nadia.

I woke up, everyone still asleep. I got up, and look around the Turners' living room. No Johnny, no Nadia. They're the only ones not here, why?
I look at Annie, about to wake her up, but she's 'cuddling' with him, and I don't want to ruin that, so I wake up Ruby.
"Ruby!" I whisper-shout, shaking the blonde girl.
"What?" She asks, rubbing her eyes.
"Nadia and Johnny are the only ones not year, what could they be doing?" I ask, she furrows her eyebrows, in shock of what I had just said.
"I don't know! What would they both be doing alone?" She replies.
"Cuddling, pig back rides?" I ask.
fast forward >>
"Do you know where Johnny is?" Mackenzie asks.
"No, but we know he's out with Nadia or something," Carson says.
"Oh cool," She says.
I felt bad for her, although she shouldn't feel sad, Nadia and Johnny are only friends. But, from what I've heard, Johnny still has tiny little feelings for Nadia.
"Hey guys," Nadia says, bashing in. Her hair messy, and Johnny's hoodie tied around his neck.
"Where were you two?" Hayden asks.
"Carnival," Johnny says, out of breath.
"You guys look tired," Ruby says, the both nod in reply.
From the look on Mackenzie's face, I saw that she was worried and a bit envious of Nadia, thinking that Nadia could win back Johnny. But Nadia isn't like that, she's different.
"When did you guys sneak out?" I ask.
"When the movie ended, like, 12:00 am?" Johnny says, unsure.
"And you came back at 7:00 am, just in the carnival?" Ruby says, suspicious.
"Well we went to the park, had some coffee, other stuff." Nadia says.
"Interesting." I say.
When we had breakfast, Mackenzie didn't sit with Johnny, but she sat next to me, Johnny sat next to Nadia. I swung my feet back and forth, until one of my slides fell under the table, I went to get it, until I saw Johnny and Nadia, holding hands under the table.
What am I gonna do?
