Throne room in Gerudo Town...

(Reader's p.o.v.)

I stood between the two women that came along with us since the Gerudo law forbids any men entering this town and held my hands in front of me in the same position as the two women were holding their hands. One guard stood by Urbosa on her left and right while two guards on each side bowed to her in respect. Zelda stood in front of me in her formal dress and Urbosa said seriously, "Princess of Hyrule. I accept your proposition without hesitation." She went silent for a second and added, "Not only are they planning to resurrect Calamity Ganon, it seems the Yiga Clan is also after our treasured heirloom. You have my word. I won't rest until the Calamity falls." Zelda smiles a little and said before the four of us bowed to her in respect, "Gerudo chief Urbosa...On behalf of Hyrule and its king, I thank you."

Later that night...

Urbosa, Zelda, and I started laughing loudly as we took a stroll through the dessert. Zelda wore her traveling clothes once again and I walked on Zelda's left with Urbosa on her right. We stopped laughed and Zelda giggled before saying, "I've never seen you so serious, Urbosa!" "It's almost like you never smiled or laugh.", I said snickering a little then stopped. Urbosa smiled and said, "Oh my. I can't say the same. *Smiles at Zelda* Ten years ago, you rarely smiled, my little bird and little Rito."

I look towards her and repeated curiously, "Little Rito?" "You are as skilled of the Rito and not afraid to fly right into danger. Also, there is a certain handsome Rito that you like too as well.", Urbosa said smirking at me a little at the end. I blushed as Zelda giggled a little since she already knew who and I muttered looking away feeling a little embarrassed, "Dang it...she found out." Zelda then said after she was done giggling with a curious and questionable look, "Urbosa, I feel like you've called me little bird before. I was wondering where you got that name from." Urbosa didn't answer as she stopped walking and looked at the two mysterious travelers that had walked by.

Zelda and I stopped as we looked at her. Urbosa then said sternly to them before putting a hand on top the hilt of her sword, "Halt. And face me." They stopped and turned to look towards her. She grabs the handle of her sword as she said, "Unlike you traitors, I prefer to fight my enemies head on." The suspicious travelers looked at each other with unreadable looks making me feel a little uneasy and I put one hand on my bow while extending my other arm out in front of Zelda.

Urbosa quickly turned around while unsheathing her blade and said to them in a challenging tone, "Do your worst." I started to back up with Zelda staying behind me and they suddenly charged towards her as they revealed their true identities as part of the Yiga Clan. She quickly blocks an attack from one of them and he jumped away before the other one goes to attack her next but Urbosa blocks all of his attacks with her sword. She then hits him with her shield and pushes him away with it before smirking at him knowing she is going to win. She quickly turns and hits him in the stomach area with the hilt of her sword causing him to grunt as he fell onto the ground on his side.

She quickly turns around facing him as she puts her shield away and lifts her left hand in the air preparing for something. My eyes widen and the other Yiga jumps from behind her as Zelda yells, "Urbosa!" Urbosa suddenly snaps her fingers and the guy was electrocuted causing him to scream in pain before falling onto the ground. Urbosa gives a satisfied grunt as she did her usual pose and said sternly while turning her head to look behind her, "Out of respect for our princess and archeress, you may keep your lives. Now go." Zelda and I give a relieved sigh as we saw the enemy walking away before disappearing while Urbosa sheathed her sword.

She turned her attention towards us and said to Zelda, "You asked me why I call you little bird." "Huh?", Zelda asked a little confused as I looked at Urbosa curiously. Urbosa said giving a small smile and looking up at the sky at the end, "When you were but a small child...my dear friend called you that, with the sweetest smile that ever graced our land of Hyrule." I give a small sad smile as Zelda said realizing who as she looked about to cry with a small smile, "You mean Mother..." Urbosa gives a small nod and said with a sad smile as she looked away, "It was 10 long years ago...Your mother had just left this world, yet her little bird still spread her wings and became the beacon of light Hyrule needed."

Zelda looked like she was about to cry as she looked down sadly with a small smile still and I placed a comforting arm around her shoulders. Urbosa said before looking back at us with a sad smile, "Sometimes I forget myself...and get lost in the past." I looked towards her and said softly, "As long she remains in your memories and dreams, she will never be forgotten." Urbosa gives a smile and nodded with a hum making me smile in return.
