Battle and Revival (Book 2)

Chapter 1

(In Zorya's berthroom...)

(Zorya's p.o.v.)

"NO!", I yelled as I woke up with a jolt from a nightmare. I sit on my berth panting a bit before my breathing slowed as I begin to calm down. I noticed that it was still dark outside. Then, I heard someone quickly come nearby and Nightwing appears into my room with a concerned look as she asked, "Mother, are you ok?" I replied, "I...I'm fine sweetspark, just a nightmare." She came over and sits by me then holds me close to her before beginning to hum a lullaby that I used to always sing to her when she was still a young sparkling. The sweet humming of the lullaby made my optics closed and I fell to a peaceful sleep.

(Later that night in a mission in Shang Hai...)

(Nightwing's p.o.v.)

Optimus and I wait in the plane as we are in the air, ready to make our move. I couldn't stop thinking about Zorya lately. She keeps having nightmares in the middle of the night often lately making me feel very worried for her. I turned to Optimus and said having a feeling that he should know about this, "Father, something's wrong with mother. She's been having more nightmares lately and it's robbing her of her sleep. I'm worried about her." He gave a worried look and says, "Do not worry sweetspark, the nightmares will pass soon. If they don't, we'll send her to Ratchet." But, what I didn't know that he was actually planning on talking to Zorya one on one.

(3rd p.o.v.)

Soldiers start getting their positions and a few new Autobots get ready for the mission as well.

"For the last 2 years, an advance team of new Autobots has taken refuge here under our command."

The human then said to the Arcee twins, "Arcees, get ready to launch." Arcee twins turned on their holograms as they ride in the moving trailer and said, "We are locked and loaded."

"Together, we form an alliance with the humans, a secret but brave squad of soldiers."

Lennox said to the soldiers as they plus Epps ride inside the helicopter, "All right, listen up. China's cover story on this one is 'toxic spill'. They had to evac the area for search and rescue. This makes six enemy contacts in eight months. We gotta make sure this one does not get out in the public eye, so keep it tight." They ride a bit further before finding a place to land the helicopter.

"A classified strike team called NEST. We hunt for what remains of our Decepticon foes. Hiding in different countries around the globe."

The soldiers got out of the helicopter and kept their guns raised, waiting for anything to happen. The soldiers then drove out of the trailer carefully and drove off. Some soldiers from the control room watch on the screen to make sure the mission goes as they planned.

(Zorya's p.o.v)

I drove beside Ironhide to meet up with Lennox and the other soldiers to hunt down a Decepticon nearby with the other humans driving behind us. We then stopped and Lennox patted on Ironhide's hood saying, "All right, Ironhide and Zorya. We got echoes. They're close." We then begin to transform to bot mode as Lennox said pointing towards somewhere, "Steel stacks at 2 o'clock." Once we fully transformed, Ironhide said, "He's here. *Sniffs in the air*. I smell him." I then said, "Then we must be really getting close. Let's carefully make our way closer without being spotted by the con." Lennox and the rest of the soldiers quietly and quickly made their way over where the Decepticon should be. I walked over to where Epps is as he said quietly looking at the radar, "Oh, no." "What have you got?", I whispered to him as Lennox came over to us to see the radar as well. Epps replied showing us the radar, "Thermal ripple." We see the heat from the Decepticon on the radar and Lennox said in the comm link quietly, "Right, everyone, be steady. We're right on top of it." After a minute, a huge Decepticon transforms right in front of us and he punches both his fists to the ground causing the steel stacks to go up in the air before starting to land where the other soldiers are making them have to dodge out of the way. Lennox then yelled in the comm link, "Eagle niner!" The soldiers try to fire their guns at the gun and I did as well to try to stop it from going anywhere. But, the con went onto one of his huge wheels and started to drive off. Epps then said into the radio, "Panther 1, we are requesting fire mission now!" "Gunships on station. Roll in hot!", A human said in the comm link. Two helicopters started firing at the con to try to destroy him but he just turned around towards them and destroys one of them. I then saw headlights turn on from a fancy car then drove off and I quickly said in the comm link, "We got a second Decepticon." "Arcee twins! Target coming your way!", Lennox said in the comm link. I then said as we drove the soldiers after the second Decepticon, "Let's move!" When we stopped seeing the twins, Skid and Mudflap fail to try to capture the con, Lennox said to the comm link, "Bring in Sideswipe!" "Sideswipe, your up next to get that con! GO!", I ordered. Sideswipe quickly drove out of his hiding place and transformed to bot mode before sliding a bit as he went after the con saying, "Clear a path!" I then said to Ironhide before we both drive off, "Ironhide, let's go! We need to capture the other Decepticon before anything else happens!" After a bit of driving, we saw the huge Decepticon as I heard Sideswipe say in the comm link no doubt him showing off as he killed the other con, "Damn, I'm good!" "No time for showing off, Sideswipe! Let's get a move on!", I said to him getting him to focus on the mission.

(Nightwing's p.o.v.)

Just when I was about to complain at waiting too long, we heard Epps say in the comm link, "Air support, we need Big Buddha to deliver the drop now!" I then heard the pilot say as I transformed to dragon mode and Optimus transforms to vehicle mode, "Cyclone 98, final attack hitting 120." The doors of the plane opened as the human said to us in front of us said, "Clear to drop in five, four, three, two, one. *Motions us to make the drop now*." I jumped out first and Optimus drove out of the plane causing him to start falling. Then he transforms to bot mode and twirls around a bit as some of the smoke starts coming off of him while I fly down next to him. He then activates the parachutes and I hover above him as he said into the comm link, "Autobots, we are in pursuit. *Cuts the wire from the parachute*" He rolls down on the ground and transforms to vehicle mode before driving off. We saw the huge Decepticon coming our way as I yelled, "Heads up!" Optimus then transformed to bot mode and quickly made the jump towards him then grabbed hold of him just as the con went right through the bridge. I saw Ironhide and Zorya drive right behind us as I land on the con on his right shoulder as I transform to bot mode and Optimus said before shooting him in the head, "Pull over!" Ironhide and Zorya jumped onto the bottom huge wheel then started to shoot at it, causing the con to yell out in pain and drove off the road. We jumped off of him just before he fell to the ground and slid right into a building.

(Zorya's p.o.v.)

I walked into the building with Optimus, Ironhide, and Nightwing to finish off the con. Ironhide said as he looked at the Decepticon, "Punk-ass Decepticon!" "Ironhide, language please!", I scolded him. He shrugged saying, "Sorry, couldn't help it." We turned back to the con as Optimus said, "Any last words?" The con said, "This is not your planet to rule! The Fallen shall rise again! And the Fallen will destroy the goddess." When I heard the last part, I gave a silent gasp as my optics widen a little. Oh no...HE is after me now but, I didn't understand why he was alive. I thought he died that long ago by the other Primes. Then I heard Epps say, "That doesn't sound good." Nightwing growled before saying, "Not today." Then Optimus shoots the con in the optic, killing him. I clenched my servos in a tight fist as I keep remembering what the con said about the Fallen. In the corner of my optics, I saw Optimus and Nightwing give me worried looks seeing the look on my face. "Everyone, start heading to the plane to return to base.", a human said in the comm link startling me a bit. I sighed before I said, "C'mon. Let's go home." Then I transformed and drove off without saying anything else. But, failed to see Optimus and Nightwing looking at each other with worried and concerned looks of what just happened.
