Battle and Revival (Book 2)

Chapter 4

(Arriving at the airport later..)

(Zorya's p.o.v.)

I drove up to the entrance of the airport that Mikaela should be coming out of to pick her up. She came out towards my vehicle mode and I asked when I noticed the box she is carrying as she got in the front passenger seat, "Mikaela, what's in the box?" "Nothing.", she replied. I sensed she was lying but, didn't bother her about it. She then asked, "Zorya, can you take me to Sam's college?" "Sure can. Why?", I replied. She answered, "I need to talk to him." Something is up...I hope Sam is doing okay. "Alright. Let's head on over there.", I said before we drove off towards Sam's college to drop off Mikaela.

(At Sam's College...)

We later arrived at the college and when I stopped, we saw a guy chasing after a girl. We both said, "Classic puppy lovesick boy." Mikaela then said, "I'll see you later, Zorya. Thanks for the ride." "No problem. Let me know if you need a ride again. I'm going to go and talk to Bumblebee about something.", I replied as Mikaela got out. She nods then left and I drive off to talk to Bee. After I drove a bit, I spotted him and parked by him. When we made sure there are no humans around, we both transformed to bot mode and I asked looking at him, "Bee, did you notice Sam acting a little...weird?" "He was a little...twitchy.", he replied. I give him a confused look and asked, "Twitchy? What do you mean by...twitchy?" Before he could reply, Nightwing called saying frantically, "Mother! The Cons got Sam, Mikaela, and a boy named Leo! Plus, you are not going to believe who came back that is responsible for their capture!" I gave a look of shook and a very worried look as I said softly, "...Megatron..." Then I turned serious saying, "Nightwing, I need you to stay with the others and tell them what's going on. Bee and I will go to try to rescue them. I will let you know when we need back up." "Yes, Mother...", she replied. We then hanged up and I get the feeling that Nightwing was going to disobey my order. I then said to Bee before we took off to rescue the humans, "Let's go!"

(Nightwing's p.o.v.)

I ran to where the others would be and said to them and Optimus, "Sire! Guys! Bad news! Really bad!" "Calm down sweetspark and tell me what's wrong.", Optimus says motioning me to calm down. I then said worried, "Megatron's been revived! He's got Sam, Mikaela, and a boy called Leo! Zorya and Bee have gone after them!" He gave a look of shook and horrified before he turned serious saying, "Nightwing, go fly ahead!" I nodded and transform to dragon mode. He then orders the other Autobots into teams. Optimus and I unknowingly say at the same time as we took off, "Primus let us get there in time!"

(Zorya's p.o.v.)

I stood on the roof and listened to see what's going on. When I heard a saw like sound turning on and Sam yelling "Wait!" several times, I broke through the roof window and land right between Megatron and Starscream then started firing at Megatron to help Sam be able to get away. Bee crashes through the wall before he starts shooting at Starscream. I then heard Mikaela yell as her and Leo run, "SAM!" "Mikaela, you two get out of here!", I yelled to them before I jumped in the air as I keep firing at Megatron then pulled out my other pistol in my other servo. I continued shooting at Megatron as I land back on the ground then hit Starscream out of the way and fired at him. Starscream flew out of the window in his bot mode then I fired a shot to Megatron's chest, causing him to fly back and crash through a window. I then yelled when I saw Sam running towards me as I hopped down out of the building, "Sam!" I then quickly transformed to vehicle mode and Sam gets in before we took off to escape. As we drove on high speed, I yelled, "Sam, when we get to a safe place, you are going to be telling what on Cybertron is going on and how you guys ended up being captured!" "I will! Just drive!", Sam yelled back. We then drove into a forest area hopping we lost Megatron. Sam then said as Megatron flew right towards us, "Here he comes!" Megatron then fired at us but missed and I quickly transformed to bot mode just before he tackled me down to the ground causing us to roll on the ground. I carefully let Sam slip out of my servo as we rolled and I yelled to him when we got up, "HIDE SAM!" Then I punched Megatron in the face with a glare and went to punch him again but only to be tackled to the ground again. I pushed him off me and we stood back up again before I yelled as I tried to throw a tree at him, "Weak!" Then I added as I fought him and threw him to the ground, "Puny! Waste of metal! Junkyard crap!" Megatron then yelled, "Decepticons!" I then see a helicopter con and Starscream arrive into the scene making me give a glare at them. Great...just what I needed. I need to finish these cons off quickly before one of them tries to get to Sam! Then I heard Starscream say and saw him going after Sam, "Come here, boy!" Oh no you don't! Megatron stopped fighting me and went to get Sam too but I quickly stopped him by grabbing him and threw him to the ground. He quickly got up and went to kick me but I grabbed it then punched him the knee before kicking him away. Starscream then went to go after Sam again but grabbed him and him in the face. I then grabbed him again and kicked Megatron away as I held onto Starscream then Starscream tried to shoot me. Then I threw and kicked him in the face making him fall on the ground on his face with a yell of pain. I then said in the comm link as I continued fighting before putting my battle mask on, "Autobots! I need back up immediately!" As I continued fighting, Megatron yelled, "There's another source of energon hidden on this planet! The boy could lead us to it!" I then gave a battle cry as I went to strike with my sword but missed. I kept getting hit at many times as I tried to fight back but struggled to fight them all three of them at once. All of a sudden Megatron grabs me and threw me into the trees making me grunt in pain. Just as I got back up, he kicked hard in the face causing me to yell out in pain as my battle mask broke and stumbled back. I heard Sam yell very worried for my life, "ZORYA!" I got back up after I kneeled to the ground in pain only to be meet with Starscream firing his weapon at me and the helicopter con shooting at me as well. I stumbled back again and Megatron hits me making me spin a little. When I faced towards him, Megatron charged up his gun and fired at me in the chest, making me fly back and fall to the ground harshly, rolling a bit then stop. I felt something in my mouth and spit it out to see my tooth. That made me glare felt very angry inside. I then heard Megatron say to me, "IS the future of our race not worth a single human life? And the Fallen has ordered you to be destroyed." "Up! Get up!", Sam yelled to me. I then yelled to Megatron in anger, "You'll NEVER stop at one!" I take my sword out before I added as I attacked them, "I'LL TAKE YOU ALL ON!"I stabbed Starscream and swung him off my sword before I cut the helicopter con's arm off. Starscream went to charge at me but I dodged out of the way as I sliced at the other con and twirled around as I leaned to Starscream's back to avoid his gun fire. I punched Starscream and made him fall backwards then I faced towards Megatron before stabbing him in the knee. I ripped out part of his metal from his leg with my sword and punched him hard in the gut making him kneel towards the ground in pain. I grab him and made him face towards me only for him to get punched in the face making grunt in pain then punched him harder in the face making him fly back. Then I turned towards Starscream and grabbed him before slicing his arm off making him scream in pain. I hit him with his cut off arm and threw it at him making him stumble backwards. Then I turned towards the other con, before he could strike me, I quickly cut his head clean off with my sword and threw his body to the ground as I said, "Piece of tin!" Then I looked around frantically for any sign of Sam as I yelled worriedly, "Sam! Where are you?!" Then unexpectedly, Megatron comes from behind me and grabs me before stabbing through my chest. I gave a yell in pain, "Argh!" As he lifted me up in the air with his sword still sticking out of my chest as I tried to escape, he said, "You're so weak." Then he shot me through the chest where my spark is making my optics go wide in shock as I gasped in pain.

(third's p.o.v.)

Sam watches in shock and horror as Megatron destroyed her spark chamber. Megatron quickly pulls out his blade and Zorya falls to the ground on her side with a look of pain and sensing death coming to her.

(Where the Fallen is)

The Fallen opens his red optics and growls as he sensed Zorya dying. He then said with an evil smirk as he got up, "The precious goddess...is dead."

(Back to the scene in the forest)

Sam gets up from his hiding place and slowly makes his way over to Zorya. Zorya gives a shuddered breath before laying on her back and laying her servo on her wound while looking towards Sam. She then said giving out her last breath, "Sam...run....run." Zorya then goes offline as the lights of her optics turned grey. Sam stood there shocked before finally took off into a run. Megatron starts to chase him before Optimus, Nightwing, and the other Autobots to arriving into the scene. Optimus then ordered as he began firing at Megatron, "Autobots, attack!" Sam gave a yell in fright as he made it to Bumblebee's vehicle mode before getting into him and Nightwing yelled to him, "Bumblebee, get him out of here!" Bumblebee drove off with Skids and Mudflap following after him. Megatron and Starscream went to retreat but only for Nightwing to fly after them and to find Zorya.

Nightwing quickly flew into the forest and landed on the ground then quickly looks around to see where Zorya and the cons are. But, only to find Zorya...offline. She froze and held a look of shock, horror, and grief before she yelled hoping her dear friend and teacher would answer, "MOTHER!" Zorya doesn't answer as she remains offline causing her to close her optics and few tears came out. Then...she slowly opened them with a now a look full of anger and transforms to her dragon mode before going on a rampage towards the Decepticons filled with anger and grief. Optimus then comes into the forest only to see Nightwing fighting the cons during her rampage with such anger. He then looks around to see where Zorya is as he discovered she wasn't in the middle of the fighting. But...he then sees Zorya laying on the ground offline. He gasped in disbelief and horror, his optics filling with sorrow seeing Zorya offline. He then slowly walks up to her and falls to his knees beside her. Optimus then picks her up and holds her close to him in an embrace with a look of grief. He buries his face into her shoulder as silent tears fall from his optics and whispers as he begged, "Zorya...please don't go...come back to me..." After the two cons escaped, Nightwing turns to Optimus and Zorya before unleashing a roar full of sorrow and pain into the sky over the loss of Zorya. Optimus then said to her while looking towards her with a look of grief, "Nightwing, I know you are hurting but, you need your loved one beside you. Go to Bumblebee. He needs you in this time of need as much as you need him." "But-", Nightwing went to say but Optimus cut her off saying, "Go." She then gave him a hug, her face buried in his shoulder. "He'll pay Sire, I promise. Megatron will pay.", she vowed, before gently stroking Zorya's helm, much like Zorya used to do for her when she was a sparkling before she flies after Bumblebee. As she flew in the sky, she sang as she remembered the good times she, Zorya, and Optimus shared, "You rest inside my mind, Since the day you came, I knew you would be with me. All the time we spent, What was shared was surely, warm enough to know you cared for me. Light floods through memories, helps me walk my path. I'll keep my head up high, words and faith and love, your strength gives me hope, Someday I'll find you with open arms." She stopped when she saw Bee and flew down before transforming to bot mode. The two reunite and Bee embraced her, letting her sob into his shoulder of the pain of Zorya's death.
