My heart shattered into a thousand pieces the moment our eyes met. The shock on your face was undeniable, but it wasn't enough to stop the pain coursing through me. You opened your mouth to speak, to explain, but I couldn't bear to hear it. I turned and ran, my feet moving faster than my thoughts, desperate to escape the unbearable weight of what I had just seen.
I knew you were following me—I could hear your footsteps, your voice calling out my name. But I didn't care. I couldn't stop. The tears blurred my vision, and the world around me became a haze of noise and motion. All I could do was run, as if distance could somehow erase the image burned into my mind.
Then, suddenly, a loud crash pierced through the chaos. The sound froze me in my tracks, my breath catching in my throat. Slowly, I turned, my heart pounding with a new kind of fear. And there you were, lying on the ground, motionless.
The world seemed to tilt, the air thick with silence. My legs felt like they might give out beneath me as I stared at you, the person I loved, the person who had just broken my heart. And now, in this moment, nothing else mattered but the sight of you lying there, fragile and still.
