POV Leo
The laughter of my men fills the private jet. They drink whiskey, enjoying themselves in a game of poker.
I divert my gaze back to the file with the names of the men Adriano has been doing business with.
The information wasn't easy to get, but not impossible when you have the best hacker on the market. Unfortunately, Adriano isn't all that stupid, and getting the location of the auction is more complicated than expected.
As of now, we are heading in blind, and I'm not sure we'll be able to find the bastard.
I skim through the long list of names, and my finger stops on the name Luigi Vitale.
The name of my good old friend, the prime minister of Italy, stares back at me.
I scoff, feeling my anger rise.
"This motherfucker." My teeth clench together, and my fingers curl into my palms.
My men notice my anger, and their laughter subsides
"Where's Luca?" I ask Francisco, who is reassembling his pistol in the seat in front of me.
His gaze falls behind me, and he motions toward the bathroom where the door is opening to reveal a whistling Luca drying his hands.
When Luca notices our eyes trained on him, his whistling stops, and he takes slow steps toward us.
"What's up?" he says, taking the window seat beside Francisco.
I flip the file, and he lifts a brow. "Find me the name of the hotel he's staying at. If he has money to spend on sex, then he doesn't need my money after all," I grit out, and Luca nods, taking the file to his original seat to find the information I want.
I watch as the youngest member of my mafia leaves to get to work.
Luca is unlike any of my men. He's less uptight and serious. But despite his lack of a backbone, he's earned my trust and respect for his exceptional hacking and computer skills. He's the complete opposite of his bastard brother.
"What's the plan?" Francisco's voice brings me out of my daze.
"I need to get into the auction. But knowing Adriano, he'll have tight security. Only those invited can enter. As of now, we have the advantage. He doesn't expect us, and I want to keep it this way. Which means we need an invitation."
"Which we don't have?" Francisco points out, rubbing the base of his chin.
"Oh, but we do."
Realization dawns upon Francisco, and he lets out an airy laugh.
"Ah, you want to kill two birds with one stone." He grins. "And that's why you're the Boss."
I shrug at his compliment and explain every detail of my plan. It's not until an hour later that Luca finally makes his way toward us with his laptop in hand.
