Chapter 7: Back in the sand,

Gaara POV

I woke up the next morning feeling a little happy, and looking toward seeing (Y/N) this morning

I quickly got dressed and walked downstairs to the kitchen

"Morning little bro!" Kankuro said as he grabbed me from behind scaring me

"Shut up Kankuro..." I said as I grabbed a piece of toast and left

As I was walking through the streets I heard people whispering, I couldn't exactly hear it, but I heard snippets...

"...did you hear?..."

"....(B/N) was killed last night...."

What?!? (Y/N)s big brother was killed?

I kept listening

"....and (Y/N) ran away crying, the poor thing...."

w-what? But she promised me she would stay! I thought she was going to be friend forever!

I couldn't listen anymore so I just started running to pop bench as usual

But she wasn't

I looked at the empty bench as a tear rolled down my cheek

But (Y/N).... She promised...

I fell to ground as the tears kept coming

Kids started to notice my tears so I quickly ran away

I ran to the forest that borders the sand

It's the only forest that the sand village has

Once I entered the forest I punched a tree

"(Y/N)! Why did you leave me?!??"

(Y/N) POV

I woke up early the next morning.

It's been a week since I moved in with that boy

Luckily, he's not a pervert, nor does he really care about my presence.

Just a simple 'Hello' every time we see each other at home.

We clean up our own messes, and make dinner for ourselves.

But to be honest, I was regretting not going back to the sand.

Why?

Because of Gaara

I made a promise and I didn't even keep it

What the hell kind of a friend am I?

The school I went to was okay, less intense than the sand. No wonder I do well in my studies.

One day, as I was walking home from school I saw a boy walk up to me,

"Hello (Y/N)! I heard you came from the sand village!" He said like it was something bad

"Yeah. So what?" I asked and kept walking as he walked beside me

"I also hear that your friends with a Kunoichi!" I stopped walking and he smirked

"Like I said before, so what?"

This guys getting to personal... I thought to myself and looked at him

"Say (Y/N)... what's it like to have to hang around a brat like him? I'm sure you don't do it for free anywa-

"SHUT UP! You don't even know who he is!" I said as I cut him off by punching him in the jaw

I then ran home and quickly closed the door behind me.

I already smelled Narutos dinner and I saw him eating in front of the TV as usual

I went to my bedroom and sat on my bed

I never thought they'd still bully you even when you aren't here... I thought as if I was talking to Gaara

"I...miss...you" I said quietly and felt tears form in my eyes
