Wow. This one is super long, heh. Well, um, enjoy? Thank you for the views, I'm so thankful. 2,600+ words, I'm shocked.

-Nobody POV-

Lance awoke from his restful sleep, looking up at his blue clock once more. He sighed, knowing it was a terrible time to be up but at least someone would be up at this time.

     Keith.

      Shoving off the blankets, Lance proceeded to get ready without doing his 'daily routine'. Finally, he walked towards the training deck, suspecting a fighting hothead to be there.

     The halls are so quiet at this time, wonder why I don't get up at this time ever. Oh, wait, I'm stupid. Lance mentally slapped himself at his own stupidity, getting closer towards the training room. Grunts and metal clashing together could be heard from afar.

     "Hm, mullet must be going hard at it." He flustered slightly from his wording, shaking his head to shove off the extra heat and tried to act calm before walking in. Shuffling in slowly, Keith didn't seem to have noticed the muted Lance. Keith shoved off another gladiator while Lance sat on the floor off to the side, Keith still not acknowledging the boy. The level ended and Keith ran a hand through his inky dark hair.

     "Good job, Keith!" Lance said from the wall, Keith jerked his head towards where the voice came from. Keith sighed after only seeing Lance and his idiotic grin.

     "What the hell? When did you get in here? How did you get in here?" Keith pondered for a moment as Lance was about to answer.

     "I jus-" The coms came on, Allura speaking through them.

     "Paladins, to the control room, do NOT be late!" The coms shut off and Keith stopped the training sequence, Lance leaving him to try to be the first one. Sadly, Lance wasn't the first one, but he was the second after Shiro. Allura stood in front of Shiro playing with the mice, not noticing Lance.

     Why is everyone ignoring me today? Lance proceeded to stand there, wondering if a question should be asked or not. No one was in the room except himself, Shiro, and Allura. I wonder where Keith is.

     "Uh, Allura, what did we need to be here for?" Lance questioned. Allura and Shiro turned around, Lance interrupting their conversation.

     "O-oh, um, Lance! I didn't see you come in, my apologies..." she trailed off, slightly scoffing. Soon the rest of the Team came in, tired and drowsy. Allura clasped her hands together, Pidge snapping awake and startling Hunk as well as Lance.

     "Paladins! I have a mission for only ONE of you! But, I didn't want any questions being asked where that paladin was, so I have called everyone here so everyone knows where they are." Lance drifted away from the conversation, knowing it wasn't going to be him because he wasn't a good paladin or even a teammate.

     "That Paladin is, Lance!" Lance shot his head up in shock, scared but delighted to be chosen for a solo mission.

     "Is that wise, Princess?" Shiro asked, his eyebrow raised, soon looking over at Lance with an apologetic look with the misunderstanding. "I meant in, is sending Lance by himself okay? Would if he gets attacked?" Shiro gazed back over at Allura, her smile growing wider.

     "Oh, it's a deserted planet, and you all have a mission also, but Lance needs to do this one, it's a water planet, and he IS the blue paladin, so it makes perfect sense!" Allura looked over at the rest of the Team, Hunk tiredly concerned and Pidge not fazed, but Keith, oh, Keith, he was confused at why Allura had chosen a weak/distracted paladin for a SOLO mission. Keith made no effort to question because if Shiro had agreed, it would only be wise to, too. Allura shooed Lance away to get ready and come back for directions once done. "So, for you paladins, this mission is simple, you will go into a Galra base and get information about times ships get in and out." She nodded, the others did too, agreeing to how easy it was, but unsure about having one paladin short. Everyone proceeded to get up, passing the nervous Lance that was in the doorway. Keith looked at Lance, Lance returning the look as Keith's face turned to more anger than confusion. "Lance," Allura said. Lance walked in, standing in front of her, desperate in need of answers.
