"Oh honestly, you know the person, but didn't even consider the possibility that the name Rachel refers to her. Most of the Durian Capital knew her already." She sounded surprised.
"Well I guess, the government has yet to disclose her whereabouts."
Because RACHEL is a common given name!
Yeah I know her.
She was pretty famous, perhaps infamous would be the correct term.
Rachel Depensor.
Her name was almost in every case that was deemed unsolvable by the Davao Federal Police Department. She made a name of herself as the 3rd most likely candidate as the modern day Sherlock Holmes.
She was infamous for her unorthodox way of solving crimes. She would always focus on the motive of the criminal, rather than the facts about how the crime was committed, she was more keen on solving the reason that led to the commission of the crime.
She once blatantly spoke in front of live audiences about how interesting it was to know what led that person to commit a certain crime.
"I couldn't care less about 'how' they've done it. I'm more interested in why."
A psychiatrist from the same state even diagnosed her with psychosis as a guest on a news broadcast that aired every morning. I don't know if diagnosing a patient by just looking at them from a far is fine, but he's a doctor, so most of the people watching the news accepted it as a fact.Whether they took it seriously or just a joke is none of my concern.
They were also talking about her positive and negative appeal towards the younger generation who wanted to be like her. A crime fighter.
She's quirky and eccentric. Anything else about her is just a mystery waiting to be solved.
Not that I know about her personally."Well, since Rachel did hand me this room, I might as well explain things to you, given that you came here, endangering yourself. It's the least that I could do after pointing a gun at you. "
She cleared her throat first before she began explaining.
"Rachel was once a member of a small Detective agency, incidentally it is where I used to work with. It was funded by the government, so our salaries came from tax payers money. So I can more or less tell you about how she's been and where she's at right now."So that's why she acted so reserved when I was about to dial 117.
I never heard that she was affiliated with a group. She usually goes solo every time she shows up in the news. Always trolling the DFPD with her ridiculous reasoning."But that isn't the point right?"
"Yeah, even if she's my employer I'd still give it a chance."
After all I'm a criminology student.
"I mean, even if it is Rachel, I will still try. I need this job, even for a day or two."
"Kid, I was just getting to that. You're the first to actually decide to come here, most of the ones who knew her by name would just stay away from someone that dangerous."
Oh. Does that mean I'll have a better chance at getting this job if no one even decides to show up?"Listen here. When was the last time you saw Rachel being in the news as of lately? Or in any media outlet that mentioned her name, even once for the past few months? Have you even noticed that no one has been talking about her for the entire year already?"
What is she getting on about?
If she's not popping out in live television, mostly the news, then shouldn't that mean that there are no major incidents that are happening. She was already associated with appearing mostly for crimes that are almost impossible to resolve, but her.
