Wow... That was close.
I knew that guy was aiming for my head. At least I know that these guys mean business. They're no lowly thugs apparently, even to the point that his aim was very confident that he'll hit me regardless; whether his hands shakes from the slight recoil is his problem.
I've gotta give it to him, he actually managed to aim dead straight on to my forehead.
It was perfectly executed, yet it definitely flawed since I'm still alive.
If only he'd knew that the bullet would go slower, or the trigger would give him such a delay. He would have realized that my head had already moved in an angle that would help me dodge a literal bullet. It surprised me that the bullet he used was a subsonic one.
Designed to travel below mach 1.
Regardless of whether I heard the sound of the bullet or not, as long as I can predict when he pulls the trigger, it becomes easy to dodge a bullet.I'm just afraid that, I did it too early for them to realize I wasn't dead.
It was to my advantage that the afternoon light was behind my back, and against them, else that aim would be too precise.
All I need to do is to give them the illusion of me getting killed.
And for that, I can still some what listen to their conversation.
Let's just hope that none of them ever notices the lack of blood flowing from my body.
"Don't you want to head to your base already? The longer you stay here, the more your business gets delayed." Said the leader.
I can finally tell whose talking who with their voice after getting this close to them.
"Once we're done here, you can go free. Isn't that a great of a deal?"
"I'm a bit skeptical about it. What if you'll kill me after losing my purpose here? How about that?"
Now that I'm here, I can finally listen to what that girl actually sounds like.
And I'm definitely sure that does not sound like what a 12 year old would say.
What are they talking about anyway?
"The prank you just pulled endangered the lives of these people in the Capital; If you won't say anything, then we'll just turn this place upside down."
"Cut yourselves some slack, you know that those codes are probably somewhere in capable hands. My subordinates handles all kinds of odd jobs. Especially handling a case like this."
Her voice was that of a child, but her tone was very adult like."Ohh... why don't you call that subordinate of yours over, we might be able to talk out of this." The leader suggested.
"Unfortunately, she won't be able to talk to you anymore."
"And why is that?"
For some reason I felt gazes staring back at my body.
Did they found out that I wasn't dead?
"So that's it?" said the leader.
What is?
"I guess we really need to ask you; by force that is."
Wait, was she referring to me?
Did she just took advantage of what I had said awhile ago?
"Sadly boys, I don't know. If you want to know, why don't you open that girl's skull and scan her memories." Said the girl, rather in a cheeky tone.
"You do know we don't have that kind of technology available here. However...."
I then heard multiple clicking noises that was loud enough to be bad for my heart.
"I do know how the CIA interrogates spies."
"Oh, are you going to shoot me first, then ask questions?" said the girl in a carefree tone.
"We're going to shoot every part of your body, just missing the vitals of course. You wont die from the bullet themselves, but seeing you convulse from shock will be more entertaining." The leader said sadistically.
What now?
I slowly, but carefully turned my face towards them.
!!
All of them were aiming towards a defenseless little girl. She may have a bad mouth, but she's still a kid after all.
