-Chapter Two: Frozen-
"Where are we going, Dad?" Eren questioned as the father and son duo headed down the walkways of Wall Maria.
"I want you to meet my client's granddaughter. I'm checking her up today and I want her to have a friend her age to feel better about being there." His father answered, as they turned a corner.
The path they were taking seemed familiar to Eren. Was this not the way to Armin's cousin's apartment? Now that he thought about it, Anya did say she was going to get a shot. And his father was a doctor.
"Is her name Anya Kozlov, Dad?"
Dr. Jeagar blinked in surprise but nodded.
"Have you met her, Eren?"
Eren nodded with an unknown blush dusting his cheeks. "We met yesterday. She's Armin's cousin." He added as though it explained everything. Dr. Jaegar chuckled and let his son lead the way as they approached the apartment building.
"I'll go surprise her!" Eren decided, running ahead of his dad's steps. His brown hair glinted lightly in the day light sun as he entered the building and ran up two flights of stairs. When Eren knocked on the door, Alena opened almost immediately.
"Eren! How are you dearie? You look like a very handsome young man today!"
Eren rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassment clearly written in his face. "Th-thanks. Does Anya know I was coming today?" His embarrassment grew when she clucked her tounge with a wink.
"No, Darling, she thinks it's just your father. Go on, surprise her."
Eren thanked her and ran towards Anya's room. The ten year old smiled as he knocked and heard her yell a quick 'come in'.
"Hiya, Anya!" He quipped as he opened the door.
Anya looked up from her book and smiled. A blush stained her cheeks which made Eren smile wider. "Eren! What are you doing here today?" She asked, closing her book with a pencil inbetween the pages she last left off. She sat up as best as she could with a push of her arms.
Eren came to her side and plopped next to her as if it was an everday thing. "Well, ironically my dad's your doctor for today. He thought it be cool if we hung out for a little while before we got your shot. That's ok, right?" He added nervously, as if she would send him away. Instead she gave him a wide smile and wrapped her arms around him. His blush grew tenfold when she kissed him on the cheek.
"Thanks, Eren."
"No problem. And, Anya..."
Anya looked up at Eren's turquoise eyes which had hardened into a fierce, passionate determination.
"If this doesn't work, I want you to know that I'll be the both of our legs. I'll carry you wherever you need to go. Promise." His voice sounded so sure, so sincere that it brought Anya to tears. He started to freak out wondering if what he said hurt her feelings, when she hugged him again.
"I'm okay. That just made me so happy! I have a friend besides Armin."
Eren smiled grew impossibly bright and for the next two hours they talked and laughed. They whispered they're dreams of joining the army and taking down the titans. They had so much in common with each other that Eren was glad Armin dragged him to this girl.
