"Papa!"

Alena and Levi were both surprise to see Anya stand and shakily walk to the both of them, her arms wrapping around him tightly. Levi stood there, standing in shock.

"It...worked?" Alena murmured, tears coming to her eyes. Anya giggled and fell down with an 'oof'.

"I still can't get walking down, but I'm not giving up! I've been practicing all day long every single day." Anya exclaimed, standing back up. Levi tried to help her up but she shook her head.

To many thoughts were running through the man's mind to keep track of. She could walk? Why wouldn't she let him pick her up? She could walk? Why hadn't Alena informed him of this predicament? She would probably want to go join the Survey Corps now. When and why in the hell could she walk?!

His face was as impassive as ever.

Sighing, he picked her up anyway. "It's dangerous to over exert yourself, Brat." Levi's arms tightened around her and Anya squirmed for him to let her go. Did he feel hurt by that? Yes. Again, he would never let that show.

Anya sighed and wrapped her arms and legs around him. "One day I'm going to be as tall as you Papa, and you'll have to let me walk on my own."

Levi sighed. "Understood, Brat." Putting her down, he walked over to the kitchenette area and began making tea. Alena frowned and raised an eyebrow at her granddaughter. The retired soldier spoke quickly in Russian and Anya felt sad. Walking into the kitchen, Levi had made a cup of tea for everyone. Anya held out her hands for Levi.

"Papa!" Anya yelled when he pushed her, gently that is. She stumbled and Levi rolled his eyes.

"You can stand on your own two feet. Keep yourself up and above water. That's what soldiers do."

Anya sighed and nodded. Her grandmother said that she had hurt Levi's feelings when she wouldn't let him hold her. She didn't mean too! She just wanted to walk on her own. Now she was going to have too, since he wouldn't pick her up anymore. Oh well. That was the only way she got hugs from him.

"Fine," Taking a sip of her tea, Levi noticed she held her cup the same way he did. Instead of using the handle, she held it by the top half of the cup. He shook his head with his lip curling upward slightly before settling back into his mask. Suddenly, Anya's eyes widened with a realization. "I can't wait to go outside! *Gasp* Maybe Eren could show me around!"

Levi rose a brow, hearing a boy's name that wasn't her cousin's, "Who in the hell is Eren?"

Alena laughed and sat down the book she was reading. The ex-soldier looked up at Levi who obviously was not amused. "Eren is a friend of Anya's. About the same age as Armin. Cute little thing," Alena smiled softly and pinched Anya's cheek, "I think the two have a little crush on each other!"

"Babushka! Eren and I don't like each other, gross!" Anya yelled, eventually getting poked in all of her ticklish spots.

Levi's imagination ran wild again. This 'Eren' boy kidnapping his brat when they were older and forcing her to be his slave. Or worse, his wife. Levi's eye twitched uncontrollably and he grit his teeth. "Brat."
