Chapter One
- Alessandra -
It was just a normal day of school for me. I was in Math which is my favorite subject. All I could think about is being able to see Austin next period in Band class. While I was daydreaming I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see my best friend, Vanessa.
"Al, I need help with this problem", she said shyly.
"Okay", I said as I was laughing. She's always been jealous about how smart I was and she always wondered how I got the grades I got even though I usually never study.
After I was done with the problem I gave her the packet back and I saw her make a face. I knew why she did because she usually makes fun of me that I solve problems too quickly. A few seconds later the bell rings.
I get up and get my bag and run out of the room. I really needed to get to my next class to see Austin but I hear my name being yelled down the hallway.
I turned around to see Austin standing there. I ran to him and gave him a big hug. Whenever I'm with him I usually just stare into his perfect green eyes while I'm talking a mile a minute. I'm usually the one who does all of the talking since he's the shy and awkward one but I don't mind.
As were walking to band, he goes into his red backpack and brings out a little box. I look at him with confusion as I wonder what it is. He opens it showing a necklace.
"Oh my god! Austin! I love it! Thank you so much!", I say as I go to kiss him.
He chuckles. "You're welcome. I got it when I was in Los Angeles last week when I was performing there. I got it for you for our six months since I was away for it, I'm sorry about that babe."
It was our six months anniversary last week but I didn't mind not spending it with him. It wasn't a big anniversary anyways. He has to sing and perform. That's what his dream is. I'm not going to stop him.
"Aww Austin! This is the prettiest necklace ever and no it's fine don't worry about that", I say as he walks around me and moves my hair to put the necklace on. It's a heart necklace with pink diamonds. He knows me so well. It's just perfect.
We finally got to band but we were late. I don't think my teacher will mind since I'm always there. As I walked in, I saw Vanessa. We both play the flute and we sit next to each other. I can't wait to show her my necklace! I sat down in the seat that she saved for me and put my instrument together.
"Ness look! Look what Austin got me!", I whisper as I show her the necklace.
"Oh my gosh Al! That's so pretty! Did Austin get that for you for your anniversary?"
I nod. I look over to Austin to see him staring at me doing that half smirk he does which I love. I smile back.
Band is my favorite class of the day because I get to be with my boyfriend and best friend.
*Later that day*
I put the code in for my locker and opened it to get my lunch. I have lunch next with Austin which is good since none of my close friends have the same lunch period as me.
I get my bag and I walk to Austin's locker which is where we meet everyday. I see him walking down the hallway with a huge smile on his face.
"Hey baby I missed you so much", he looks down to me and lifts up my chin to kiss me. I feel his lips on mine and our lips move in a perfect motion.
I pull back and look into his eyes. "I love you." His face looks shocked because that was the first time I ever told him I loved him. Yeah I say it in texts all the time but this time I really really meant it.
He smiles and grabs my hand. "I love you more." He stops and smiles. "You don't know how happy I've been these past six months because I was spending it with you. I plan on spending my whole life with you. You're absolutely beautiful and I don't know what I would do without you." He runs his fingers through my long wavy blonde hair.
Tears fill my eyes. I never knew I meant so much to him. It feels so good to know that someone loves me.
"No baby. Please don't cry. I hope you're crying because you're happy. That's all I want is for you to be happy.", he says as he wipes a tear that rolled down my cheek.
I smile. "I'm only crying because I didn't know you felt that way and I love it."
He just stares at me smiling and brings me to lunch. We get into the cafeteria to see all of Austin's friends that are on the basketball team with him waving him over but Austin looks at me with a face of disapproval. "No Austin, it's fine go with your friends. I can't be with you all the time and take you away from them, I'll just go get lunch", I wink and walk over to the lunch line.
- Austin -
I don't want to leave her by herself but if she insists about me going with my friends I guess I'll go. I see my best friend Alex and I sit next to him. On the other side of me is Zach and then Robert.
"Hey bro! Why weren't you at practice yesterday?", Robert asks me while he has all food in his mouth. Disgusting.
"Oh yeah I was with Alessandra. I was helping her with a Global project." I look around to see everyone's faces. They roll their eyes. They think I spend too much time with Al but I love being with her.
"Did any of you get the new Concords?", Zach asks.
I look down at my shoes and say "Yeah bro look at my shoes."
"How did you get those so quickly? They just came out last weekend and they're all sold out", Alex says confused.
"I waited outside the mall for time with Alessandra", I say as I look for her but I can't find her. I wonder where she went. I get up to look for her and I see her crying in the corner behind the garbage cans.
"Alessandra?" I bend down to her and hold her close to me as she looks at me with tears falling down her cheeks. "Sweetheart, what's wrong?"
She just looks at me and starts hysterical crying burying her face into my chest.
After a couple of minutes in the same position she looks up at me and says trembling, "Austin I'm sorry. I've been really insecure lately. I've been having problems at home with my family and I've been getting bullied. I feel really bad for not telling you but I didn't know how to."
I'm speechless. I don't know what to say and I don't want her upset. That's one thing I don't want and another thing I don't want is for her to get bullied because she's perfect. Everything about her is perfect and I just have to tell her that.
"Alessandra.. I know you're having trouble right now and I just want to let you know that you could tell me anything. I'm always here for you and that's why I'm your boyfriend. You are beyond perfect and there is no need to feel insecure because you're perfect just the way you are. And whoever is bullying you, can come see me first and I'll put them in their place", I say as I lightly glide my finger across her face. She looks up at me smiling.

"Everything is going to be okay, I promise", he says as he kisses my forehead and lifts me up to leave.
We walk to my locker with our hands locked together. I go into my locker to get Austin's sweatshirt that I stole last night when I went over his house. I show it to him and he laughs.
"I didn't know you took that you little stealer", he says as he's playfully punching my arm.
"Yeah it was kinda cold in your house", I say laughing as I remembered that we were bickering back and forth about turning the heat on but he wouldn't turn it on since I ate the brownie he was going to eat.
"That was your fault babe. You ate the brownie I wanted so I got some payback", he says as he puts the sweatshirt into my bag. "You can keep this so you can wear it and think of me." He grabs my hand and walks me to my next class.
