Our love looks a lot like the sun and the ocean
The sun doesn't tie in
just picks up the loose ends of laces and starts Tying the knots it sees so many sailors tie, bracing for a storm because it just knows it's close enough it would notice even the smallest shift in tides
The ocean has learned to stay in constant neap never showing too much change in scenery it likes keeping its coral underwater and banks dry and it swears everyday it can see the sun bend down and kiss it and it swears it's there and it swears it must be the very thing keeping it alive and it swears it's there
and so after the sun has disappeared.
After that day is done.
The ocean says hello to the moon.
And there is peace in the way the moon sways with the ocean and security in its light.
And the ocean knows it's there.
