Chapter 7: The break in to the ministry

Ash's POV

An envelope slipped through the door. I picked up and tore it open.

I looked at it and mumbled 'Sherbet Lemon', a hiss and it opened up.

Dear Ash and Serena,
As you are currently at Kanto, and by far the easiest to contact, we have left you a mission to accomplish. We have heard that Giovanni has based his headquarters at Kanto and we do not have any information heard from any of our people. So, your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to break in to the ministry in Kanto, hack the system, and get out of there. If you are to be found or caught, the League of Nations will be placed in danger of disbanding. We give you this thumb drive. Simply insert it in the control room, system 35, row 32. We left you to impersonate a general and his secretary, obviously the general will be Ash, a male, and the secretary will be Serena, and once again, obviously the secretary will be a female.
We wish you good luck on your mission, and we will contact you later.

I handled the piece of paper to Serena, who stirred from her sleep. The doorbell rang and I cautiously opened, revealing a parcel at the door step. I grabbed it and pulled it in.

I opened up and smiled, this seems easy.

I walked in in an upright posture, soldiers saluted me as I walked past them. Serena, who looked very different is carrying my bags, which actually was our equipment.

I was wearing a wig, with fake moustache, and a military cap that covered my eyes partially.

Serena was wearing a black wig, her hair tied up in a pony tail. A degree-less glasses covered her eyes.

As I continued through the hallways, a soldier called out.

''Hey, general, I am Major Egorov, I will need to check your identity''

I froze. Serena stopped beside me. I smiled and walked calmly to him. I handed him my identity card, which said 'General Kamzelin'

He took a look at it, and placed it in the scanner, which scanned for a few moments, before announcing that there was an error.

''Sorry, I don't think your name is in here''

Just then, Serena's phone beeped. She placed down the bags and pulled out her phone. There said, '100% ready'

She gave me a tiny kick in my leg.

''Try again'' I said coldly at the major.

He scanned it again, and this time, less than one second, the monitor came up with tick, signifying that it was in order.

The Major saluted me. 

''I'm sorry General, I didn't recognise you''

I snatched the identity card off his hands, and walked away, I heard Serena giving the Major a scolding.

''You'll get it, Private Egorov...''

In case you didn't know, Private is the lowest rank in a military.

Serena caught up with me as I turned into a flight of staircase. I went down one floor, pushed open and entered a hallway. At the top of the ceiling wrote the word, 'Control Room'.

Serena and I got out our tools, before packing it and stacking it against the wall.

I attached a bendable camera to a Ipad. When I put it around the corner, it showed a guard typing away at a laptop at the end of the corridor, on a table.
