Hello, this is a small letter to all Shawols out there and people who are dealing with depression. December 18 of 2017, we lost a precious angel. Kim Jonghyun, SHINee's lead vocal have passed and have gone to the after life. I couldn't say it sooner as I was still in a state of shock. He commited suicide by trapping himself in a room and inhaling toxic fumes from burning coal.
He has been suffering from depression and has ended it all. He was suffering to the point where suicide was the only path left for him. He kept hid feelings bottled up for us not to worry but when he couldn't handle it anymore.. he hinted us, fans. He hinted us with lyrics and in interviews but we couldn't do anything. I hope you all pay your respects to his passing and don't send hate in course to him commiting suicide.
People who commit suicide are ones who have dealt through so much pressure and obstacles in life. Jonghyun saved kpop, Jonghyun saved us when we were down but we couldn't save him. Jonghyun has always made us smile and happy when o one else could. Depression was eating Jonghyun slowly and we didn't notice that. This is a slap on our faces that idols aren't robots. They too, have feelings and they aren't just robits who entertain us. We need to know that no matter how happy they seem on stage, they are suffering inside. We are all humans and we have feelings. Please pay respect. So please, not just idols, when you have the time, tell your loved ones how much they mean to you, because you never know... One day, when you'll never get to say it anymore.
And to all Shawols out there, stay strong! We are all here for you. Please DONT start any fanwars as respect to Jonghyun's passing.

To anyone out there, dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts, don't keep quiet. Talk it out to someone close to you. Cry it out. Shout it out. NEVER hurt yourself for it. We know suicide and self harm isn't the answer.
Shawols, Jonghyun wouldn't be happy knowing y'all are taking your lives for him. I know, that up there, he wants us happy and smiling. He doesn't want us harming ourselves.
People who are dealing with depression, I know it's hard. I know it's hard to wake up everyday questioning your life and worth but please, somewhere out there, there are people who love you and cherish you. So please stay with them and talk it out, cry all you want, no one will judge. Your life is very precious and please don't take it for granted.
