The small pitter patter of rain was poring heavily in the town of New York. Little Alex had not clue what he was in store for. He just stood there in his box waiting for his dad to return.

Nico Di Angelo wasn't Alex's father. He was in fact raising the kid as a single parent. His love and best friend Kayla died in the war with Gaea protecting him. Little did he know that their was a child waiting in bedroom. But that story is yet for another flashback...

Their was only one thing on my mind. Run. My feet somehow picked me up off the ground and I ran down the water flooded streets rain plastering on my face.

I made a quick in an alley way and hid behind a trash can. I even listened closely as the people that we're chasing me run by. A breath of relief escaped my mouth.

Hey it wasn't my fault I tried to steal their wallets. I've been starving for the past couple of days. Yes starving. My dad was supposed to be back home by now. But it's been a week. And the thing is...I'm only 8. The manager of our apartment came and told me we had been kicked out of the place and I was now living in this box waiting for him to come home. But in the mean while I was living off of scraps.

"Dad where are you? You're supposed to be back days ago," i sighed and grunted. Resting my head against the wall to dose off an light figure suddenly burst into my view. I uncapped my Stygian iron sword and stood up against the wall instantly shaking. The light subsided and left a pretty women who had a face to lighten a few fields of flowers to life.

Instantly I knew who it was. Persephone. A god. My grandfathers wife.

"Hey..heyyy. Alex calm down," she said soothingly, but her voice then hardened. " I only came because i have a very important message for you."

I relaxed and my shoulders started to lie flat again. "U-u-uhh..yes my lady?," I said shakily. She pinched her hand to her temples and just sighed. "I'm afraid this isn't going to be good news."

"What do you mean 'not good news'?," I asked tentatively.

" We'll you see little Alex, your father is dead..." She stated simply.
