Flashback

"Jace McCoy!"

Oh God, here we go. I stood up shakenly to walk over to the door. Without a second passed the door opened giving me view to who was here for me.

I didn't know rather to be afraid or relieved

It wasn't my mom. It was her boyfriend.

There he stood in front of me. He's here. He is really here standing in front of me with a smug look on his face. How did they let him bail me out? Do they think he is my real father? Does my mom know he's here? Why is he here? Shouldn't my mother be here to yell at me and tell me how much more I am ruining her life?

"Ma'm, you may go with your guardian," the policeman said in a bored tone.

Step by step I walked up close to him as his beady eyes glazed down at me. Within thirteen steps (yes I was counting) I was in front of him.

"Why are you here?"

"Come to the car and we'll talk."

"Tell me why you are here first."

"Jace if you rather your mother be here making a scene, I advise you to come with me."

The man I caught with my mother is now here, bailing me out of jail instead if my mother. I had one of two choices: tell him he'll no and wait until my mother to get here and beat me to death, or go with him.

"Let's go Jace,"was all he said before he turned his back on me and walked out the door.

I broke out of my daze and followed after him to my mom's car outside. When I didn't have a car the first thing she told me when I got my license was no, but here's a complete stranger driving it around like he helps pays the car notes on it.

Now that I think about it, it's kind of weird my mom would be into someone who, I asume, doesn't have a car. I mean she is a lawyer with high taste and standards, so why would she downgrade for someone like him. Trust me, he is a downgrade.

As I slowly pace myself behind him I saw a while lady in the corner of my eye strugging with a bunch of papers. I would have completed my destination to the car until I saw her trip sending the papers flying everywhere. On insticit my direction changed to her quickly . I started gathering the papers that were already flying away. We both managed to grab all the papers before any could get to far. I handed her my small stack smiling gently.

"Here you go ma'am."

"Oh thank you sweetheart. The wind loves to play at the wrong times. I swear I could just lose my head sometimes."

I giggled softly at her as she smiled at me.

"Yes, I see."

"Aye Jace! stop fucking around and get your ass in this car!" Terrell yelled at me across the courtyard not caring that people stop or slowed down to stare at him.

I huffed rolling my eyes then smiled at the lady one last time."I'm sorry I have to go."

"It's ok sweetie. You take care now." She smiled at me shaking my hand. My dark skin contrasing with her pale white one reminding me of chris.

We pulled our hands away from each other and I turned back to the car. Terrell watching my every more as I got in. I swifey got into the front seat as he settled down in the driver's seat. We sat there incomplete in silence.

My thoughts got the best of me as I asked him the few question that were bouncing at round in my head.

"Do my mom know you're here?" He turned to me with a look as if he was once in deep thought, then registered my question then his smugged look returned. "No, I was in your mom's room when I saw a number calling her phone that I didn't know, and answered while she was in the shower. Turns out her dear lovely daughter is in jail for battery towards a police officer. Shame you're lucky it was me rather than her. I heard she could be very... strict.

"So she doesn't know?"

"No for now at least. She won't know til you or I tell her."

"Why didn't you tell her?"

He looked me up and down with a perverted stare that made my skin crawl.

"I thought it would be a little heartbreaking to see that pretty little face of yours messed up." He smiled at me then turned back forward.

This is the point were the smart girl nods and exit out the car knowing there is nothing good coming from this "favor" he is doing me. If I leave he could still tell my mom, but I think that's a risk I'm willing to take.

"Well yea, that's great and all but I need to get going."

Before my hand even reached the door handle the doors were locked. I looked over at him with narrowed eyes.

"Why you locked the door Terrell?"

"Why would you want to leave when I'm just going to take you straight home. Don't  want to get in any more trouble, now do we?"

"No, I guess we dont."

He smiles satisfied with himself, but an awkward silents. Besides the bad vibes I had from Terrell my mind was on Chris. The officer said that he could possibly stay the night there. I really hope not. He is in there because of me. I don't know how he found out. He didn't even see me this morning. Anothing I wonder about is why would those boys do that th me? I don't even know them. Well know one of the boys names, but he never seem to even give me a second thought.

As I was in deep thought as I felt a heavy warm hand creep high up my thigh. I followed the hand up to the arm, to the body is was connected to. This man done lost his god forsaken mind.

"It looked like you were over thinking over there."

"So you put your pedophile hand on my leg" I shook his hand off my thigh, but he kept it there and squeezed my thigh making me scream out.

"A screamer, that's my favorite." He turned back to me after parking in the drive way.

"How about we have a little trade secret, huh? I keep your secret about your little jail time, if you keep our little secret of our play time?"

I felt the tears in my eyes, but I be damned if I let one fall in front of him.

"How about you keep your damn hands off of me and I won't let my mom know her pedophile headass boyfriend is going after her daughter." I looked his in the eyes as I open the door and got out pissed he would even think I would do something like that with him.

I walked to my front door looking for my key when to door flew open. I looked up from the sharp black heels all the way up to mother who was glaring at me.

Oh God, not again.
