If looks could kill I'll be with my father right now.
My mother gave me a death glare for her missing out on work to come check on her daughter who can never do anything right in her life.
The white boy stood there unfazed and just looked at me.
"Mother th-this is the b-boy who saved me. " I talked in a low voice looking down.
My mom turned her iced glare to him. Her face soon turning from anger into disgust as she looked him up and down.
"Mom this is..."
"Chris." he interrupted me, which was a good thing because I never noticed him at school. I heard the name Chris pass threw people's lips but never really saw him. He must be really low key.
"Well Chris, would you mind stepping out of the room so I may talk to my clumsy daughter? "
Deep down I was hoping he would stay and not leave me with the shell that once was my loving, caring mother.
Chris never took his eyes off me and I never took my eyes off my mother.
Even though I wanted him to stay I knew nothing good would come out of it. I should just get it out the way while I can.
"Chris thank you for helping me." I looked up at him giving him a small smile. He didn't return it, only looked at me for what felt like forever.
My rude, impatient mother started tapping her foot looking at her watch.
Chris slowly removed his hand from mine and walked out. Now comes the hard part.
"You know I'm losing money for your selfish ass Jace? I'm at work when I get a call from the hospital telling me my dumb ass daughter hit her head. And then on top of that, you had a white boy in your room with you. I didn't raise a fucking slut for a daughter. Are you not done ruining my life Jace, are you now going to throw everything back in my face by being a fucking useless ass whore who does nothing but open her fucking legs God dammit?! " The more she talked the closer she got to me. I didn't know what to do besides sit there shaking my head no with tears in my eyes.
Wrong move.
My face was struck hard by a manicure hand. "Open your fucking mouth!" she spit at me with venom dripping out her voice.
"N-no ma'am. I promise I didn't do anything. I'm still a virgin. "
She looked at me with disgust as if I was lying. She straightened herself up, dusting off the imaginary dust from her perfect deep blue pantsuit. "You will be checked out and you are to go home and wait till I get there for dinner. Do I make myself clear? "
"Yes mother. " I look down as she nodded walking out the room slamming the door .
Chris walked back in the room with a face I couldn't read. I wiped my tears as he slowly approached me.
"Oh, you're still here. Th-thank you for saving me (not really I wanted to bleed out and die), you may leave now. " I played around with my fingers unable to look at him.
He stopped till he was beside my bed looking down at me. He brought his warm fingers to my chin raising my head to look at him.
"Why do you let her treat you like that? " he tried to keep the anger out of his voice but I caught on. I was taken back by his question. He was listening, he knows, this is bad. My heart rate started raising as I shook my head no. He has to go. I can't have people in my personal life. I can't have people at all.
"Y-you have to go. You c-can't be here. I don't need anyone, I don't need friends." as the words passed by my lips he seemed to become angrier, but followed my wishes and walked out slamming the door.
