Jade's P.O.V"

"Jake is she going to be ok?" I asked my brother with concern

I looked from Alexis to Jade. As Cassie makes her way back over to us with a bottle of water and a washcloth from the SUV.

"Yes baby she just hit her head on the underside of the car trying to get away from that thing." I told her with complete honesty.

She would be ok. If I had only gotten to her faster this would have never happened. How could we have allowed that many walkers to get at us. We should have got back in the vehical and took off when we heard them coming instead of standing around waiting like a bunch of idiots.

"Guys we get her to the SUV and get out of here before more walkers come." Cassie informs us with a rather good point. We couldn't just sit here.

"Alexis's P.O.V"

I could feel that I was moving but I had no clue where I was. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around. I was in the front seat of the SUV, Jake was driving and the girls were in the back again. I was still a little groggy and confused to what had happened. All I remember was trying to get away from a walker trying to make a snack out of my ankle.

"What happened?" I asked startling Jake slightly.

"Hey you! You hit your head pretty hard trying to get under the car to avoid becoming a snack." Jake said laughing

I stopped for a minuet trying to remember hitting my head. "I don't remember. Who took out the walker?"

"We dent know, the shot came from the side of the road opostie where the walkers came from. They never showed their selves." He said wearily

Well that was rather odd. I wonder who it was, and why they didn't show who they were. Maybe they could have joined us or us join them. Well maybe one day we'll cross paths again and next time actually meet.

We rode for what seemed like further than what our gas could go, but then again i didn't know what we ended up getting from the cars by the rodeside either. Everyone just sat riding in silence. Finally I couldn't take the silence anymore.

"So did anyone even get a glance at the people that saved me?"

"No...it was a guy is all I know. He refused to come out from the tree line." Jake replied slighty shaking his head. A habit he had, had for as long as I could remember.

"I think i did." Jade spoke up for the first time since i woke up.

"What did he look like or can you remember?" I asked

"From what I could see he's somewhere around six foot maybe, Dark hair, real tan. I couldn't see much more than that though."

"We're coming up on a town guys keep your eyes open. We need to look for gas and supplies. Alexis do you think your up for it?" Jake cut our conversation short.

"Hell yea I'm great." I said smiling

We stopped and I climbed out stretching looking around for walkers spotting one making its way tow rd us. I pulled my knife out slowly making my way closer looking around as I moved remembering my last walker in counter. When it got close enough i dug my blade into its skull snatching it back out ready if another one came near but there was none. First place went was to check the gas station. It was about a block from where we were when we stopped. We found that there was enough for almost a full tank. We started filling up the gas cans when a scream rang out from what sounded like about six hundred yards north of us. I stopped filling the can and glanced toward Jake. He shook his head and I ignored him shutting the pump off.

"Jade! You and Cassie take the cans back to the car, and stay there." I took my gun out crouching and slowly making my way toward the screams when Jake stopped me.

"What the hell are you doing. We aren't saving anyone but our own asses." He whispered

"If we dent we are no better than these things we are running from. If it wasn't for someone helping us I'd be dead right now, or are you forgetting that little detail Jake?" I said back in astonishment and a bit dissapointed in him.

He dropped his head shaking it slightly before agreeing with me. We watched making sure the girls at least made it half way to the SUV before heading off. It took is about five minuets to make it to the point the screams were only mere feet from us. When we reached the edge of the block we saw a group of people standing atop a semi trailer surrounded by walkers. I placed the silencer that I found along the way onto the nine mill and aimed taking out walker by walker. Seemed like they were endless. We inched closer and closer the more we killed. Finally I decided to take out my blade and kill as many as I could that way as not to attract the attention of the others. I risked a glance up at the group on the trailer and that's when I noticed him. He looked alot like the guy that Jade described as the man that saved my life on the road.

"Look out behind you!!" He yelled as I turned around just in time to plunge the blade of my knife into the upcoming walkers jaw, and shot him a thank you glance.
