After a fit of hyperventilation, Winry changed into her white nightgown to "get ready for bed." And once the entire house became fully silent Winry crept out of her room to sneak out and meet with Ed. Winry spun around quickly to shut her door as quietly as she could to finish pursuing her mission when  she backed up against something warm. Someone was behind her. Winry froze and brought her hands up to her mouth.

"Mmh." She squealed as a warm hand grabbed hold of her and covered another hand over her mouth and swung her around into the other room. The body was muscular and familiar then suddenly she knew who it was and relaxed. Then she realized how terrified she was a few seconds ago and changed her mind. Winry was furious and swung a wrench at his head causing Ed to curl in pain. "Ow! Dammit Winry! What the hell you doin' that for?!" Ed yelled glaring at her from the floor.
"Oh, I'm sorry, did you say something Edward? Well, you really should've said something to me earlier, SO I WOULDN'T FREAK THE HELL OUT!" She screamed back.
"Honestly...I thought you would've known it was me!" "And why the hell do you have a wrench on you? God knows where you pulled that from! It's like you came looking to strike me for something...and seriously! Where the hell did you manage to hide that?!" He spat back leaning against the bottom of his bed. "Oh, wouldn't you like to know." Winry spun her head away from him in annoyance slightly blushing. Ed pouted in the corner for several minutes until Winry gave up on him.
"Ugh fine, if you have nothing to say I'm leaving!" She rushed spinning on her foot to leave, suddenly embarrassed and a bit frustrated her idea didn't go as planned.
'Curse my pride!' She thought.

"Are you that mad Winry? What did I do?" He scoffed.
"I am not. You just- ugh, your such an idiot!" She barked.
"How am I an idiot? Ah geez, I don't understand women..." Edward started to ask but then trailed off flopping onto his bedsheets. "What do you mean?" Winry asked slowly stopping in her tracks. A tell-tale sign she was angry. Edward snapped his head up at her familiar tone of  im-gonna-beat-the-shit-out-of-you-with-my-wrench voice.
"Ah, heh heh, Winry, you uh, come 'ere, I wanna give you something..." Edward's voice changed to a careful tone, sweet and tempting. Winry cutely pouted looking at his handsome face and immediately dropped out of her mood and made her way towards him.
Edward leaned up from his spot on the bed and motioned for her to sit down
right next to him.
"Hm? What is it?" She asked extremely giddy. Ed smiled at her before he reached over and pulled out one of the drawers next to his bed and felt around inside to pull out something shiny. He hung it right in front of her eyes with his fingertips and swayed it back and forth. Winry lit up brightly marveling at its slick beautiful features. It was a silver necklace with a pendant that had ingraved "yours truly" in the middle with studded diamonds around it to finish. Ed blushed when her eyes suddenly fell on him. He looked away mumbling,
"I found an old chain somewhere and a pretty stone that said those words and found a diamond, then I transmuted it together and made this for you. It was one of the last things I made before I lost it all." He looked down gloomily at the last part. Winry followed his eyes to his hand then back up at his face.  "Ed? What do you mean? What are you talking about?" She asked gripping his shoulder causing him to get a pained look in his eye. He lost his control and hugged Winry desperately as if she was his life line. "I lost it Winry...my alchemy, it's gone..." She felt him heave and squeeze her tighter so she wrapped her loving arms around him and struggled  to keep her tears from falling. She tried to whisper caring words to him in his ears but the pain wouldn't go away. He needed her affection, her  love, her attention. He burrowed his face in her neck and nuzzled his cheek against her soft skin. He embraced her lovingly then pulled back and pressed firmly against her arms.
"Thanks for caring, Winry." He said against her collarbone, his breath tickling her skin.
"N-no problem..." Her voice hitching for all sorts of reasons. "Do you like it?" He asked his head shifting to one side against her chest. "Yes, It's beautiful Ed I love it. Would you put it on me?"
