15 The You Sir Form Verb

OK so we have just learned the I Form Verbs. Basically if you want to say I and then any verb in the past tense like "I ran ", you conjugate like this XaXaXti. Notice the 'T'. So now we're on to something real important. The letter 'T' plays a major grammatical role in the Hebrew language. At the end of a word 'T' tells us past tense. Prefixed to a word 'T' tells us future. LOGICAL! So 'T' itself is just an abstract funny letter. Let's turn this funny letter into something it resembles that is more common. How about a telephone pole! Perfect! Imagine a telephone pole covered in watches. This will impress in your brain the role the letter 'T' plays in Hebrew. Now it's time for the You Form Verb. But 'you' is a little ambiguous since we are dealing with the masculine singular. We will call it the 'You Sir Form Verb'. The You Sir Form Verb works like this XaXaXta. Have you noticed that it has all 'a' vowels. That's wonderful! It makes things so refreshing. OK now for some example sentences.

Have you eaten the cake yet?
