Stiles rolled out of bed early Thursday morning at the behest of his dad, who had opened his bedroom door with the intent of waking him up in an obnoxious manner. However, upon seeing Liam curled up around Stiles in a protective way, sound asleep he decided to wake him up by calling his name.

Stiles groaned quietly but sat up and gave his dad a thumbs up to let him know that he was awake. Noah smiled and headed back downstairs leaving Stiles to get ready fro school. Turning his attention to Liam, who had snuck into his room in the middle of the night, Stiles reached over and shook him awake.

"Liam, babe you have to get up. We have to get ready for school." Stiles told him as the beta began to stir. Liam's blue eyes fluttered open and he looked up at Stiles, a small pout forming on his lips.

"Do we have to?" Liam whined.

Stiles gave him a look and said, "Unless you want to get an F on our math final then yeah we do."

Stiles got out of bed and went around his room searching for clothes to wear today for school. Coming across a gray t-shirt, a red plaid shirt, and a pair of black skinny jeans, Stiles grabbed his towel and his shoes heading for the door.

"Where are you going?" Liam asked.

Stiles threw a smile over his shoulder at him. "To shower. I'll be back in fifteen minutes." Stiles winked at him and left the room, very aware that he left Liam in a flustered/hot and bothered mood.

Fifteen and a half minutes later, Stiles exited the bathroom fresh and clean as can be as well as fully dressed. He passed Liam on his way back to his room, who was on his way to shower and get dressed.

It didn't take long for Liam to finish up in the bathroom and once he was, him and Stiles said a quick farewell to his dad and got into his jeep. Stiles started the engine and pulled off, speeding toward the school.

When they got to the school, Stiles noticed a few things out of place. There were two police cars in front of the school and an ambulance. Two paramedics were rolling a body bag into the back of it and Parrish was there with Scott, Mason, and Lydia.

"What the hell happened?" Liam asked, curiously.

Stiles looked at him, a grim expression on his face. "That's what I want to know." He climbed out of his jeep and made his way over to Parrish, Liam following behind him. At the sound of their approach, the four of them turned around.

"What's going on?" Stiles asked.

"There was a murder last night." Parrish started. "Katya Nasir. She was leaving cheer practice, the last to leave apparently."

Stiles knew that name. He knew the girl, not very well but enough that they were friends and spoke occasionally. He had met her at that party two years ago that the twins had thrown at Derek's loft. He remembered kissing her and hoping to get laid that night.

"Was it anything, you know, supernatural that killed her?" Stiles questioned.

Parrish shook his head. "Surprisingly no. Someone slit her throat and left her to bleed out."

Stiles shook his head, unable to believe that she was dead. That someone killed her. And the cause wasn't even anything supernatural, which now led to the question: who wanted her dead? And why?

"You kids should get to class. We'll talk more about this later when we have time." Parrish told them. They all nodded and made their way toward the front doors.

"Stiles you okay?" Scott asked, nudging him.

Stiles nodded. "Yeah."

It was a lie.
