"I... I need to go Daniel. I'm sorry for leaving in such a rush. And for the fact that I'm leaving without paying. Oh, shoot I'm-"

"Tairus, Tairus! It's all good. I was going to pay anyways." Daniel shrugged and stood up. "At least let me walk you to the door?"

I glance over at Tracy, who had her eyes on me.

"I... Rather not. I'm so sorry. My mom must be so worried, I ran out on her." I took my phone out of my pocket. "It was on silent the whole time? I'm not going to hear the end of this."

I wave bye to the two, before being called back by Tracy.

"Hey, wait! I need to give you something!" Tracy rips off a piece of paper and quickly scribbles something on it. "Here, I've been looking for you."

Looking at the paper, it had her number on it. Heat rushed to my face as I began to walk away from her.

"Wow... After all this time, my soul was connected to a really hot chick."

Walking down to my house, I took a deep breath in. I knew I was going to be torn apart.

"Hey, mom. Dad." Opening the front door, I was immediately hugged by my dad.

"Where were you?" Dad yelled at me, he was definitely upset.

"I... Took a walk. And, I found out who I'm connected with!"

"You're not-"

"Oh yeah, then explain this!"

I showed him the number I got from Tracy and he got a skeptical look on his face.

"Who's Tracy?"

Oh shit.

"She's a girl... From school!" Now that I actually think about it... She looked a lot like this one girl in my gym class.

"Oh, really? What class?"

"Gym. She... Stands a few places to my left."

My dad sighed, and hugged me again.

"We were really worried. I understand what you're going through, and how we've lied to you for so long. I'm sorry." Both of our eyes are filled with tears as we hear my mom walk into the room.

"Tairus..." I run up to her and hug her. She froze up for a minute, but then hugged back. "I'm sorry I didn't hear you out. I'm sorry we didn't tell you beforehand I-"

"I saw her today!"

"Who?"

"The girl who I'm connected with! She's works at that one really nice cafe, the one we don't go to?"

"Oh, Tracy! Yes, Tracy. I have always loved how positive she was around everyone."

Smiling to myself, I folded my hands together. Wow... I couldn't believe that this was actually happening. How many times has this happened already? Did every time we meet up this would happen? I have so many questions.

"Well, Tairus, because we're sorry we have kept this from you for so long... Tracy will be coming over for dinner." Dad says, smiling.

"What?" I question, more so to myself. "We just met! Or... Have we met before?"

"You... Have met before. It's just been a couple years." Mom says, rubbing her arms. "We are honestly sorry, we haven't really thought about the string coming back."

A couple hours flew by as we talked more of Tracy, and what the plan for dinner would be. Nothing too big was happening, just casual talk. I hope.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

The front door soon opened to see Tracy dressed in black skinny jeans and a black long sleeved sweater. Her hair was pushed to the side, and her emerald like eyes had a bit of mascara and what seemed to be eyeshadow.

"Welcome!" I say, allowing her to come in. "I would like to actually introduce myself. Hello, I'm Tairus, Tairus Ryan." I took Tracy's hand and kissed it. "Nice to finally meet you. Again? I guess."

I can hear Tracy laugh as she takes her hand back.

"Hello, Love. It's nice to finally see you again. We haven't seen each other since... Hmm... We are both 17 now... So when we were both 13. Am I correct?" She asked my mom, who I didn't realize was standing by me.

Sighing, mom nodded.

Walking into the dining room, we all take our seats. My little brother sits by my mom as she is sitting by my dad, who is at the end of the table.

"Hello, Tracy. It's nice to have you here. Was the way here nice? We heard it was storming almost ten minutes ago."

"Oh yeah it was great. I love being out during storms. I just love nature." Tracy more so says that last part to me, and I smile.

Everyone was stuffing their faces when my little brother, Mike, said, "So, are you Tairus' new girlfriend?"

Coughing, both Tracy and I looked at each other. We just stared at each other, not sure what to say until my mom butted in.

"That's for them to decide, Mike. Now, eat your dinner or you're not going to be able to watch-"

"ENCHANTED NO." Mike yelled, before quite literally, swallowing all his food.

"I- Uh- I- nevermind." Tracy said, before stopping.

"What were you going to say?" I ask, holding her hand. "If it's important, you should say it. Even if it isn't, you can still tell me."

"I was going to say that I was going to race your brother to see who could eat the fastest; but I guess we already have a winner."

Mike gets out of his chair and stands up, pointing at Tracy. "I challenge you to a Pokemon battle!"

"W-what?" My mom says, coughing as she tried to get her drink down. "Honey, it's not the time for battles. Maybe after dinner."

"But mom..."

"Hey," Tracy grabs Mike's attention, "Maybe later. I promise." She then pulls out a deck of Pokemon cards. Wait, did she have them ready for this moment? Or was this planned out? Or did she just have them just in case?

"Okay!" Mike laughs and then gets serious when he sees dad's staring at him. "I'll see you guys after this movie!"

Running off, we hear a loud BANG and then crying. Oh, what did that boy do this time?

"I'm coming, hold on baby." Mom gets up, and runs to Mike to check up on him. In a minute, she's holding him in her lap and Mike has a bruise on his arm.

"What happened?" I ask.

"He tripped over one of his toy boxes." Mom tells me, gently rubbing Mike's face and giving him a couple kisses. "But, he's my strong boy, so he'll be okay, right?"

"Right." Mike says through sniffles, rubbing his face. "I'm a big boy now, so I don't get hurt!"

We tried stopping him, we really did. But here we are, at the hospital, at 9pm, because my little brother thought it would be a good idea to see if he could jump onto a group of toys.

After his check up, Tracy and I said our goodbyes.

"I'm sorry I have to go," She starts, "But I have to go work. I take the night shifts."

"It's alright, I understand. I would want to leave this crazy family too if I had the chance." I joke, Tracy laughs.

"Hey, stay amazing, okay?" Was the last thing Tracy said before the night ended.
