Chapter: 2

Miyuki's pov
I enrolled in Shinwu's school and got there early with him because he woke up early for once. Shinwu, Ikhan, yuna, rai, and I surrounded a desk with shinwu's bag on it. Shinwu had found it at his front door when he opened it so we could leave for school. I had another late night talk with big brother so I was tired today as well "do you not get enough sleep Miyuki?" Yuna asked and put her hand on my shoulder. I shook my head and sat down in the desk with the bag on it, I moved it to the side and crossed my arms on the desk while resting my head on it. They spoke but I could barely hear them due to me zoning in and out of sleep. I felt a hand gently shaking me to wake up "Miyuki we're going to the chairmans office, wake up" it was yuna. I moan a little and tiredly lifted my head up with my eyes closed, Shinwu quickly looked around to see if anyone else heard it beside them. The whole class heard it. Most of the people staring at me were the guys who had a red blush over their faces. Shinwu growled at them while grabbing my hand and pulling me out the class with Ikhan, yuna, and rai following behind close. I looked at shinwu's mad face with a confused expression on mine.

After Ikhan and Shinwu explained to the chairman of the situation, he stayed silent for a bit thinking before asking Shinwu a question "Shinwu, do you live alone since your father went abroad?" Shinwu shook his head and motioned with his hand to Miyuki who had her head on his shoulder sleeping soundly "no, Miyuki moved in to my apartment recently." He answered as chairman asked "are you related?" Shinwu shook his head again "no, she's my best friend. B-But we are basically family! I've known her since we were both little!" He said quickly after seeing a surprised look on yuna's face, the chairman hummed and then said "I think it would be better for the both of you to not go home for the time being." Shinwu shrugged "ok I'll stay at Ikhan's house, but what about Miyuki?" He said and looked at her sleeping face worriedly "she can stay with me" yuna said and Shinwu thanked her "no problem, it'll be like a sleep over!" She said happily. Shinwu grinned at her with a small blush "sir shouldn't we report this incident to the police?" Ikhan said causing the atmosphere to go back into seriousness again "even if we do, they won't take any precautions we need. Giving a statement about the assumed suspect won't be an issue. But there won't be much to it. Reporting that a lost bag appeared in front of your door won't do any good." The chairman explained as yuna agreed "well...you're right." Though she agreed it left an uneasy feeling in her heart "I will still inform the police about the past incident so don't worry so much." The chairman added "yes, thank you" yuna said and sighed a bit more calm than before.

Time skip

Miyuki's Pov
I was explained to by Shinwu who said we'd be apart for the time being but only for a little while, I'd be staying with yuna and I didn't mind much about that. I lay on her pink couch playing a game on my phone waiting for grandpas call as I heard yuna mumble something "what shall I do....Shinwu and Ikhan told me to stay home." I look up towards her to see her looking out her balcony window at the setting sun "maybe...I shouldn't worry so much. There are a lot of people on the street, and it's still early in the evening...." She said as I pop my head over the arm rest of the couch "I ran out of juice, wanna come with?" She asked and I gave her a slow nod "Kay lets go" she said and headed for the door with me behind her, Yuna was my friend now so I made sure she didn't forget anything. I unknowingly left my phone on the couch as I heard her slip on the floor "ah I'm okay!" She said laughing at how clumsy she was, I sigh and help her up. Soon we were out the door at the convenient store which was open 24 hours.

Mini time skip

We bought yuna some juice and since I went with yuna, she let me pick something to buy. She said it was her treat for coming with her so late in the afternoon. I grabbed ramen and a box of chocolate pocky, those were my favorite. The nice old lady at the cashier desk bid us good bye "thank you" yuna called out as I held the door open for her and then we both walked away from the store. Little did we know that the same men from before were watching us the whole time from not too far away. I had an uneasy feeling creeping up my spine so I reached into my hoodie for my phone and realized it wasn't there, my eyes widen and I heard something fall next to me. It was yuna, the buff guy from before knocked her unconscious. I turn around and come face to face with the silver haired guy who smirked as he pressed a pressure point on my neck, the last word I spoke was big brothers name "kaneki..." I fell but was caught by something, it was strong and sturdy.

Shinwu laid on Ikhans white couch and yawned loudly "Ikhan, I'm starving, make me some ramen" Shinwu whined while looking at Ikhan play on his phone "you just had a hamburger...hang on a sec." Ikhan said putting his phone down as shinwu laughed and switched the channel on the tv with the remote, it was on the news channel now. "last night, mister lee, a guard at the XXX apartment, 000 district went missing." The guy on the tv said as Ikhan stood up "that's where you live." Ikhan said as shinwu sat up quickly "what?" He asked as the both listened to the news "according to another guard mr.lee did not return after leaving for a patrol...some blood, which was assumed to be that of mr.lee, was found on the emergency stairs." The tv continued as Ikhan seemed a bit spooked "last night...? It's when someone left your bag in front of your door. What if...." Ikhan didn't finish the sentence as shinwu was tense "I will call Miyuki" he stated but there was no answer and he was forward to her voice mail, he started to get even more worried and decided to call yuna instead, it rung for a few seconds before it beeped meaning someone answered the phone "yuna, it's me, shinwu..." Shinwu said and was surprised to hear a males voice answer him back "Shinwu...so your name is shinwu. Good timing." The voice said as shinwu clenched his teeth together tightly "hearing your voice, I'm sure it's you. Things will get easier for me." The voice continued as shinwu held the phone away from his ear to see who he had called "I'm sure i called yuna...who are you? Why do you have her phone?" Shinwu growled angrily "hey hey, calm down, man. There is no reason for you to be upset." The voice said while chuckling at the end "where is yuna and Miyuki?" Shinwu asked while glaring at the space in front of him "the owner and her friend are fine for now...just for now...." The voice answered him "what do you want?" Shinwu asked still very angry "I will offer you an opportunity..." The voice replied nonchalantly "an opportunity?" Shinwu question as the voice said "you should have noticed something by now, shouldn't you come and save the girls now?" Shinwu stared at the phone confused "what?" He asked as the voice said annoyed "just like you did a few days ago" Shinwu put the pieces together and realized who was talking "you're the guy from before..." He stated as the voice replied to him "you can notify the police of you want, I could care less. Ah, but the girls will no longer be safe if you know what I mean." He added at the end as shinwu felt a shiver run down his spine.

Shinwu ran out of Ikhans house while slamming the door wide open "shinwu! Wait! Let's notify the police, we can't do this on our own!" Ikhan said logically as shinwu turned briefly to reply to Ikhan "you heard him! They're going to die if we notify the police! You have seen it on the news!" Shinwu yelled back and continued to run ahead as Ikhan swallowed a lump in his throat, he then remembered what the chairman had said before about calling him if anything bad happens. That was exactly what he did while running after shinwu who was way ahead of him. shinwu had a fierce and scary look on his face which made the people walking in front of him jump out of the way for him to run past them.
