ThanksGiving Short!

(Happy late thanksgiving!)
The small group of Friends helped their guidance counselor set up the table for the dinner party. He invited them over, saying it would be Rai's first time celebrating it. Shinwu, Ikhan, and Rai were in charge of setting the table while Frankstein, yuna, and Miyuki worked on the food. Both Frankstein and yuna washed the fruits and vegetables while Miyuki cut them up. She worked on the vegetables first but as luck would have it the knife slipped past the vegetables and grazed her pointer finger. She let out a small hiss of pain, placing the knife down on the cutting board. She then hurried over to the sink in order to wash off the blood and clean the wound, Ikhan had tripped and spilled water on the wooden floor around the same time. Frankstein and yuna hurried off to see what had fell and made the loud crashing sound that covered up Miyuki's distressed voice. Rai walked into the kitchen to get a rag to dry up the water spilled on the wooden floor. He paused when he saw Miyuki  rush over to the sink and begin washing her hands frigidly, he could smell a sweet sent coming from her location. Rai made his way over to where she stood and watched as she struggled to stop the wound from bleeding, she jumped in fright when he reached out and took her hand and his. he examined her small wound and looked at her as he placed his lips over her cut. He watched as her face flared up red in embarrassment and confusion, but he prevented her from pulling away. he held her hand there as he licked the blood seeping from the small cut, he then placed a small kiss on it and as if by magic it stop bleeding and didn't hurt anymore,  it was just numb.

While she stared at her finger in wonder , he pulled out a bandage from a nearby drawer and wrapped her finger with it. she stuttered with her words "thank you?"she said but it sounded more like a question than a statement, he didn't mind it and gave her a small nod, slowly stepping closer to the young girl who was too wrapped up about her wound to notice his leaning figure. He placed a finger under her chin and lifted her face, she could see their faces were merely centimeters apart from making lip contact. Her face turned into a darker shade of red as she looked down at his soft looking lips and then back at his bright crimson eyes as he stared back at hers. In his eyes you could only see curiosity, while in her's you could see her confusion. Rai leaned in closer and she shut her eyes bracing for impact, but she felt his lips touch her forehead instead of something else. He pulled back and grabbed the rag he originally came in for and turned to the doorframe just as Shinwu walked in asking what was taking so long, Ikhan was gonna have back problems if he didn't get up from the floor soon. Ikhan insistes on cleaning the floor himself. Rai handed it to him and walked out of the room like normal, Shinwu made his way to the door but turned to look at Miyuki's unmoving figure. She was looking out the window above the kitchen sink, he couldn't see her face and shrugged it off as nothing.

He joined the others in the other room, where he found Ikhan in the ground bowing to Frankstein with his head touching the floor Apologizing over and over again, even though Frankstein said it was an accident and it was okay. As the scene unfolded, Miyuki was red as a cherry. Why would she think he would kiss her? She was confused but came to the conclusion they were nothing but friends, and he was just worried for her. She finished up her job and joined her friends in the dinning room. She spotted Rai across the room to see him set down a folded napkin on the table, he looked up at where he could feel someone's stare, to find Miyuki standing there. She thanked him properly "thank you for looking out for me, you're a good friend!" He stood silent and gave her a slow nod, though he didn't like the word friend, much less being named that by her. He felt a bit of discomfort in the word but paid no attention to it any further. Yuna and frankstein placed the hot delicious food on the table for everyone to partake, they ate plentiful and laughed the night away. But not Rai, for this feeling he had bugged him to no end, he couldn't figure out what it was he was feeling...for now~
