Miyuki's Pov

I was currently sitting on gravel near the ledge of a building after using the fire escape in the alleyway. The wind blew by making me shiver a bit as it blew my messy and dirty hair behind me. I look down at the filthy and ripped hospital gown that I currently wore and grimaced in disgust, my stomach growled lowly interrupting the silence around me. I couldn't even hear the cars driving by on the busy road, there was a small ringing in my head that kept me in a some-what trance. I felt my eyes begin to tear up slightly. I was hungry, cold, and alone. I want to go home with Shinwu , Big Brother, and Grandpa. I let out a sad and tired sigh as I rub my arms to keep warm. I sneezed. "bless you." I jump in fright and turn to look behind me. There with a blanket in hand stood an elderly lady with a small warm smile on her face. I began to apologize "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to intrude on your property," I say as I stand up swaying slightly and bowed lowly "I'll take my leave" she held up a hand to stop me "It's alright, come. I'm sure my niece won't mind having you over for dinner. come here child, tell me...what is your name?" She held out the same hand that she stopped me with, the smile never leaving her old wrinkled face. I held my ground and didn't approach "Do not be afraid, I won't hurt you. Please come inside, you will catch a cold otherwise." She said still standing there in front of the door with a yellow light shining behind her ".." I stared at her before running my hands up and down my arms again as I slowly approached her, for some reason unknowingly I glanced behind me at the ledge of the brick building. The ringing in my head made me cover my ears as the old lady placed the blanket over my shoulders and brought me inside her home. An ominous look thrown behind her just as she closed the door, locking it tight.

Another short chapter really?
