Chapter: 10

Miyuki's pov

{She was given black jeans not shorts. The zip-up jacket is actually a large hoodie that goes past her waist. The scarf is wrapped securely around her neck and bottom face. She is also wearing tall boots, so she's well protected against the cold. All thanks to, yep, you guessed it.}

It turned out that the old lady did keep her word, and she even lend me some of her nieces clothes. I waved goodbye to them both and walked down the sidewalk. They were both hesitant to let me leave, especially since it was still night time. They gave me a delicious meal, and a warm relaxing bath to clean myself in- "BEEP!" I jumped at the sound of the car next to me that beeped at the car in front of them for suddenly stopping. I pull the scarf closer to my face and continued walking forward, and kept to the darker side of the sidewalk. The last thing I needed was the unwanted attention from drunk men across the road. The stores and signs around me began looking familiar, Till I realized I was only a block away from Shinwu's apartment. So I began running. The people walking cursed and yelled things at me as I bumped and pushed them, but I couldn't even hear them due to my heavy breathing. I was close to seeing everyone again. I could see my breath in small puffs before me as I ran. The cold wind blew against my face. Tears threatened to fall.

I was catching my breath, with the entrance to the apartment building around the corner. Once I've had my fill of oxygen I took a step forward, but heard a voice filled with hostility speak. I froze in my spot and slowly leaned against the wall. I stayed there and just listened into the conversation, I hushed my breathing by holding the scarf over my mouth. I hadn't recovered fully from my run. 'I shouldn't have ran here, I feel sick.' I thought closing my eyes briefly and leaned my head back on the wall. I was still very weak do to malnutrition, the meal I had earlier threatened to return up from where it came from. I held my stomach in protest, adding a bit pressure to ensure I held it in for the sake of my safety and pride. I hated feeling sick, because I felt that it showed you were weak. ' Only...the...fittest.....survive' an echo of a voice said fading away in the back of my mind.

"Oh my, Oh my. He doesn't know what's going on. He's not panicking seeing the policemen down, maybe he's hiding something. "

I open my eyes and lowered my head. I then took a peep around the corner and saw 3 figures with their backs to me. There were 2 males and a female. 1 of the males was sickly skinny, even more than I was. He looked familiar. The other looked buff and had a large coat over his shoulders, and the female wore revealing clothes. I grimaced at that, coming from a well known and respectable family. Clothing like that was unacceptable in the household.  I couldn't see who they were speaking to, I could only see a bit of their black pants and shoes. "why don't we find out what he's hiding? Go kill him." The tall white and pink haired man said to which the sickly skinny man ran forward with his mouth open. Though before the sick man could hurt the person in front of them. He was stopped, and held in the air inches off the ground. I heard a familiar voice speak "I prefer no saliva on my suit. did he attack someone?" the voice asked to which the male in front of me ignored "I made a mistake. I assumed you were just a showoff...Are you the one who took that thing?" The man asked the other male. He did not respond.

I saw who was speaking when he let go of the sick man, who stood off to the side holding his throat. It's shinwoo's guidance councilor, Frankstein. "Sensei!" I said a bit to loudly. My eyes widen at my foolish mistake as the 2 figures standing before me turned around. I ducked behind the wall again, and immediately began moving away from that spot. I was now standing behind the building trying to calm my beating heart. I heard something move quick beside me. I turned to be face to face with the woman from before, with wide eyes I open my mouth to speak. Something hard hit the back of my neck and I suddenly felt weak and fell forward. I was met with darkness in an instant.

No Ones POV

The woman had the girl in her arms bridle style and walked back to the group of men. Frankstein eyes narrowed at them when he recognized the girl in the woman's arms. "well isn't she a lovely sight for sore eyes?" the whited haired man said as he took a lock of the bluenette's hair and sniffed it "smells delicious" he said with a smirk as the sick man behind him licked his lips and swallowed hard. "I have one other condition to our deal." Frankstein said with seriousness "hm? And why should I allow-" the white haired man was cut off by woman "what is it?" the man glared at woman who glared back "we need the information he has, Jake." the man growled but said nothing "If I overpower you both, you will answer anything I ask. The same goes for you in return, but the girl stays with me". The woman pondered this as the other male scoffed at Frankstein's request "why would I-" the man was cut off again by her "Done." He let out a snarl of disapproval to which she simply ignored.

time skip to a new setting

The woman in revealing clothing placed the girl on the ground. she leaned her against the wall and left her there to stand back and watch the 2 males fight it out. She watched with disapproval as Frankstein avoided the white haired males attacks. she grit her teeth when Frankstien landed a perfect hit on jakes chest and a bit of his stomach "well this is awkward, I didn't get any answers yet." Frankstein said with a smirk on his face, the man opposite from him growled in frustration. The man then leaned back a bit casual "I admit my mistake. I didn't know you were this good. hehehe" he chuckled a bit at the end "you deserved to make an offer." he said as frankstein raised a brow "should I be flattered?" then without warning the male was before him with nails and teeth bared, he blew a hole in the Column behind Frankstein where he once stood. The male changed his attack pattern. He then lifted his fist high in the air and made it crash down forcefully where frankstein was standing "hehehe. you're getting my attention now." the male said with a grin spread across his face. There was a huge hole before the male's figure. 

The man standing before him was changing, well his arms anyway. They were now purple with pink spikes protruding from his skin. "I couldn't control my power before, it's been sometime since I've last transformed." The man said look down at his arms "I lacked accuracy as well..." he muttered to himself as frankstein amused himself "you got nice arms, you have high taste." The male smirked in return, confident in his strength "of course, it's nice, this proves I'm an evolved human not like those insects outside." he grinned bringing his hand in front of him "evolved human?" Frankstein asked losing his amusement "hehehehe, right, this arm makes me stronger that those weak bugs. humans always killed and destroyed something throughout history and this is what humans wanted deep down...not only me but-" before he could finish what he was saying the woman behind him shouted "jake!" with a warning tone to her voice as well as the look she gave him when he glanced back at her "well, I may have talked too much. as I haven't transformed in such a long time. hahahaha!" he snickered "jake, we're being delayed. finish him off." she stated as his grin widen "got it. it wont be the same as before. I wont miss because I can control it now. haha!" the man rushed towards Frankstein at top speed with deadly intent shining in his eyes.

Frankstein dodged every one of his attacks till he glared at the man who rushed towards him again "urgh!!" frankstein used his skill once again on the man. A bright pink mixed with black emmited from his hand engulfing the man's arms and toso. Before frankstein could land one finale attack on his opponent, just then the woman intervened making him jump back to dodge her attack.

He smirked "oh you're coming forward? The silent lady herself?" She glared back at him as the man behind her tried to get up repeatedly "Marie! There's no need for you to interrupt! I let my guard down and allowed one attack! Oof! This is nothing." He winced at the end and stayed on the ground with his head down. Both frankstein and the woman had a stare down before she turned on her heels walking away "we're leaving now." Frankstein's smirk never left his face "well then, about my answers." She turned to glare at him with intense "don't get cocky...you had your answer when jake was talking about himself like an idiot." She left with the other 2 men after that. frankstein sighed out and looked over to the unconscious miyuki on the ground. He walked over and carefully picked her up bridal style "Shinwu can rest easy now that we have you back, miyuki." He said with a relieved look on his face. She involuntarily curled inward to his chest catching him off guard for a bit, she had one arm across her stomach while her other hand rested against his chest. He smiled down at her "you're safe now." He began walking the opposite way of the where the trio went, the night returned to it's nocturnal calmness as frankstein returned home. Where he found Rai calmly sitting on the couch with a bead of sweat and closed eyes "ah that's..." frankstein said looking at the broken door handle in the table before Rai "I never taught you how to open doors properly;;".
