Gene x Reader: Better

( Your P.O.V. )

I was in my room when Katlyn came in.

   " Hey, Katlyn what's up?"

   " You have a visitor."

   " Who is it?"

   " Gene."

( Flashback )

   " Look at the nerd!"

I felt some slop get thrown at me. I turned around and seen the Shadow Knight club. They were all laughing at me. I didn't know what I did to them to make them do this. I never did anything. Just like Aphmau. I kept walking and made it to the bathroom. I started wiping the slop off of my back. When Sasha came in.

   " Hey there~"

   " What do you want?"

Sasha wasn't that bad. She wasn't like the others. After something happened she came to help me a little.

   " Just came to help."

   " Why do you help me when you guys throw the stuff at me?"

   " Cause Gene makes me. Plus I'm the only girl in the group. The only way I can talk to people is if I try to help them."

   " Gene orders you?"

   " Ya. I don't know why though."

   " Huh."

We got done and I thanked her and walked out of the bathroom. I went to my locker to only have the shadow knight symbol on it. Then I get slammed against my locker.

( Flashback over )

   " W-What?"

   " Don't worry Y/n he's better I promise. We all know that Gene is better. He is trust me. Okay?"

I nodded and I walked with her to the front door. It felt like a horror movie where I slowly walked towards the door. Then I opened the door to see Gene standing there with a black shirt and a red flannel jacket. He had his back on the door frame as he looked at his phone.

   " G-Gene?"

He turned around facing me. A smile plastered his face.

   " Y/n good to see you again. Here take a walk with me."

I nodded and followed him down the street.

   " What do you want Gene?"

   " What?"

   " I asked what you wanted? I remember high school Gene. Now, what do you want?"

   " Geez I just * sigh * I want to apologize Y/n."

   " What?"

   " I said I wanted to apologize. I was a jerk to you in high school. I know I shouldn't have done that stuff to you and I'm sorry."

   " I-I'll forgive you on one condition."

   " What is it? I'll do anything."

   " I want you to tell me why you did it."

I could see a small blush make it's way to his face. He scratched the back of his head and looked down.

   " W-well y-y-you see I..."

He coughed and then he calmed down a little bit.

   " ...I had a crush on you back in high school. I was stupid and didn't know how to tell you or express it. I-I'm sorry Y/n."

I could tell he meant it. I laughed a little. He noticed.

   " Why are you laughing?"

   " It's funny I had a crush on you back in high school too. That was until you started picking on me."

   " O-oh. How do you feel about me now?"

   " I feel okay. I feel like I can trust you a little."

He stopped and so did I then he grabbed my hands and held them. I felt my own blush come to my face. I looked down and he put both of my hands in one of his. Then with the other, he lifted my head up. I starred up at him.

   " I meant more than a friend."

   " Well, I.....I umm...."

   " Y/n?"

   " I-I guess m-my crush n-n-never left."

He smiled and kissed me. I kissed back. Then we pulled away.

   " I forgive you, Gene."

   " Oh really? I thought that kiss meant a no."

I shook my head and kissed him again.
