Kai's Christmas Joke

I advise the video at the top. It's only like 7 seconds long anyway.

   At the moment, I convinced Nathan to take a personal day and relax. After a bit of debating, I got him to agree and now he's sitting in the lounge room reading a book whilst drinking some wine, again. The lights are dimmed and he's using the Christmas Tree as a reading light. The tree is standing there beautifully with ornaments dangling off the branches and a star shining on top. Some presents are already sitting underneath on top a red and golden rug. It's glorious and I'm about to improve it.

   The reason I talked Nate into taking some time for himself, is so I could get into his office. I can't do that with him in there and if he saw what I was doing, then that'd ruin the fun. Since he's preoccupied, I sneak in there and get onto his computer. Once finding what I want, I print it off and run over to my room. After exiting off the extra tabs that is.

   In my room, I go to my bed and grab a box from underneath. Sitting on top of my bed with the box now and the paper, I open it and pull out a hole-punch and some ribbon. When I make a hole in the paper I pull the ribbon through and cut it, making sure it's long enough to tie into a circle. Once the loop is made, I clean up my small mess and head downstairs with my masterpiece.

    Quietly moving around so I don't distract Nathan from his book, I hook the paper to an available branch and go sit on the couch. Once comfortable and natural looking, I pipe up, "Hey Nathan."

   He jumps a little, "Kai? Jesus don't startle me like that."

   "Sorry~" I chuckle. "So what's goin' on?"

   "Oh nothing really. Just enjoying my free day that you wanted me to take oh so badly. What have you been up to?"

   "Eh....You know. Just hangin' out and doin' my thang. I've taken the day to really look around the place. Get to know the finer details." I exaggerate certain words.

   Nathan raises a brow, somewhat catching on to what I'm getting at, "Is that so?" 

   "Uh-huh."

   "Might I ask what "finer details" you've seen?"

   "I'm just admiring things. Like the tree. It's very pretty. You know, Ivan and I never got a tree for Christmas because he always thought it was a waste of time and money. That and carrying up so many flights of stairs would have been a lot of work."

   "Really?"

   "Yeah. I wanted one so bad, I'd always look at the ones in the stores and I even went to the extent of learning the different types of Christmas Trees. And I gotta say, you've got a special one on your hands."

   "Do I? What kind do I-..." He finally looks at the tree. He closes his book and face palms, "You have to be shitting me right now."

   I start to snicker, "I feel like you know. What kind of tree do you have?"

   "Kai...."

   "What kind of tree do ya have?"

   "Kai..."

   "What kind of tree do ya have?"

   "It's a Chris P-"

   "It's a CHRIS PINE!" I yell and stand up then run away as I laugh like a madman. Nathan just heavily sighs but ends up smiling at me and my little acts.
