Rin's Potion

I'm choosing this video at the top because I personally fine it hilarious.

*P.O.V. Rin*

   Today I invited over my little Pixie and he's gonna help me. What with you may be asking? Obviously with making potions. So I have everything set up nicely and in order when I hear the door bell ring. I rush over and swing the door open and pull Kai into a bone-crushing hug. Until he phases out of my arms and lands on the ground on his ass. I look up and there Ivan stands with his hands in his pockets and a slightly amused smile on his face. 

   "Hey Rinnie. How are ya?"

   "I'm good. How are you Ivan?"

   "Doin' alright. Doin' alright. So uh-where's Robyn?"

   "Right here!" Robyn cuts in and puts a hand on my shoulder. "Now you remember to keep the house clean! Be safe, stay home, follow exact instructions-"

   "Robyn! Everything will be fine! You and Ivan go shopping and me and Kai will be perfectly fine here. Now. GO!" I shove her out and into Ivan's arms. She turns to talk back to me, but I slam the door in her face with a grin on mine then look at Kai. "You ready for some magic?" I ask and make little light purple sparkles fall from my fingertips.

   "Uh...Yeah, sure."

   "Great. Then lets get started." I grab his hand and lead him into the room with everything set up. As I get the first recipe book, Kai already starts to fill the cauldron with water, used to the procedure. He then grabs the salt and looks at the cover of the book I have and continues to grab a bunch of Lilacs. Most of the recipes in this book call for Lilacs to be used.

~Timeskip~

   Things have been going great and we have made plenty of potions. They vary in color and power as they sit on my potions shelf, under the respective labels. I stir the pot as I look and read the floating book next to me. "Add two pinches of berbere then a liter of dog saliva," I read out loud and Kai does exactly as told. I stop stirring while Kai goes and gets some of the ingredients situated. I look inside the pot and see it's a light pink color, but the picture in the book seems a bit darker. Strange. We did exactly as told. Maybe I should add a little more horse hair? Yeah. I'll do that.

   I levitate over to the table and grab a handful of horse hair and toss it into the cauldron. I fly up a bit higher though when I see that its immediate reaction is bubbling and fizzing. Kai walks over, not knowing what I just did and looks in. Suddenly all the bubbles pop and a mist floats out and down, covering the entire bottom of the room. Thankfully, I up high. Sadly, Kai is down low.

   "Kai? Kai you okay?" I ask as I fan away the mist. Once it's gone, I look around for Kai, but don't see him anywhere. "Kai...?" I land on the ground and feel a small tug on my skirt. Looking down, I see a little boy - around the age of maybe seven - looking up at me. "Uh....hello?"

   "Rin? Wh-what's going on?"

   ......Fuck....."Kai? Is that you?"

   "Yeah. Why am I shorter than normal? What's wrong with my voice? Why are my clothes so big? Rin, what happened?"

   I laugh nervously and my eyes shift all over the place just so I don't have to look into his adorable, little kid, eyes. "I may have uh...messed up the potion a little."

   "But how? I did what you said."

   "Yeah, but I added some more horse hair..."

   "WHAT! Why?"

   "It uh....didn't look like the picture," I mumble and turn my entire body away. I'm stopped short though as Kai grabs hold of my skirt and pulls me to the bookshelf.

   "You gotta change me back!"

   "I planned on it. Don't shout young man." I scold him. That's when I hear the front door open and shut with footsteps coming this way. My eyes enlarge and I try to find a place to hide Kai. I'm too late though as the door swings open and Robyn and Ivan walk in. I laugh and stand in front of Kai, "Oh hey guys. You're back early..."

   "No we aren't. We're actually later than what was planned," Robyn tilts her head in confusion. "What are you hiding? And where's Kai?" Just as I'm about to make some kind of excuses, Kai runs from behind me to Ivan and hugs his legs.

   Ivan looks down in surprise and gasps, "Kai?! What the hell happened?"

   Oh quick Rin! Think of something! "What makes you think that that's Kai?" I'm a fucking dumbass. That's what I thought of saying.

   "All the proof I need is the red streak in the hair and the cute as shit eyes." Ivan crosses his arms and looks at me pissed. "Now tell me what happened!"

   "Okay Okay. I messed up a potion a little and I was able to get out to the way. Kai...not so much..." I drift my words. "But don't worry! I can fix this."

   "You better! I told you to follow exact instructions before I left, didn't I?" Robyn gets after me.

   Kai tugs on Ivan's pants and says, "I'm hungry. Can I eat?"

   Robyn takes his hands and says, "Of course Sweetie. Come with me and I'll get you something to eat" as she leads him to the kitchen. That leave me and Ivan here. I magically pull his body over to where I am and gesture to the bookshelf. He nods understanding and pulls a book out to help me find a potion to reverse these effects.

~Timeskip~

   As Robyn and Kai play and watch movies, Ivan and I found the reverse potion and got to work on it. When it's complete, I head over to the living room with Ivan and we give the potion to Kai for him to drink. The same color mist fills the room, but Robyn, Ivan, and I aren't affected by it at all. Once it's gone though, we see a normal sized Kai again, lacking pants. He squeals a little and Ivan I fast to cover Kai up with his jacket.

   Robyn hands Kai's pants and underwear over to him. As he thanks both them, Kai goes to the restroom to put his clothes back on. The two turn to look at me - both seem extremely disappointed.

   "Don't ever let something like this happen again. Or else there won't be anymore Rin and Kai time like this. Am I understood?" Robyn asks me.

   "Yes Ma'am."

   "And don't even attempt on any sort of sweet talking to get me to forgive you on this," Ivan points out to me.

   "I know."

   Kai walks back into the room and goes up to Ivan. The four of us say goodbye and the two of them leave. I look over to Robyn and smile innocently. "Oh don't think that just because you fixed what happened you're not getting more of a punishment. I just got plenty of clothes and groceries. Go put them all away."

   "But how is that far at all!"

   "AH! Do what I say. Who knows? Maybe if you do a good job, you'll get a surprise from me in our room," Robyn winks and struts away. I'm left there shocked but hurriedly get to work at putting stuff away.

*P.O.V. Kai*

   As we both sit in the car and buckle up, Ivan starts it up and he pulls out of the driveway. That's when something occurs to me. "Hey boss?"

   "Yeah?"

   "When did you get a car?"

   "I stole it. Goddamn idiots left the keys in it and I was not about to walk all the way out here. Or even waste money on a taxi."

   "Oh." Is all I can really say.

   The ride continues on peacefully, until something else occurs to me. "Hey boss?"

   "Yeah?"

   "When I was a kid and you told Rin how you knew it was me. You said you could tell because of the "streak in my hair" and "the cute as shit eyes" right?"

   "Yeah....? So what? I figured out it was you instantly. Why does that matter?"

   "Well that doesn't matter. But....you think my eyes are cute?" I look over to him and see his face go red in embarrassment. I laugh at the face he's making and have trouble catching my breath.

   "Yeah yeah. Laugh it up," He grumbles and tries to keep his eyes on the road.
