"I'm doing a lot of time jumps, not every chapter but only to a point where I get we can settle down in. Plus, I'm trying to introduce a lot of characters in this book, because more the better, all won't be in every chapter though. This chapter is taking place in fall. But Beverley, Farah, Janice, Sada, and a couple more in the mm. I'll eventually stop putting the names on the pics, it's just so you guys will remember. Also, Aaliyah will have plenty of more povs then Tupac I think, but don't worry!" - PBG

Aaliyah.

"And with that being said, projects will be due by the end of this semester. Please make sure to look on the sheet by the door to see who your partner will be before you leave and that's it for today, have a nice day kids." Professor Torres said as he dismissed us all.

I gathered all my belongings and took a long sigh as I rolled my eyes. Assignments and Projects were all being thrown at me back to back and it was becoming all too stressful. I was beginning to wish I was a kid again.

Once I got everything that I brought with me to class. I slung my purse over shoulder as I began to walk to the door and waited as everyone got the information they needed.

"Oh, you must be Aaliyah." A pretty darkskin girl with braids in two buns greeted with a friendly smile on her face.

I smiled back.

"Yes, but it's pronounced as Aa-lee-yah." I sounded out to her. "But yes, that's me, you?"

"Oh, I'm so sorry." She chuckled. "Your name is nothing I've ever heard of before. I'm Beverley Payne, but you can call me Bev or Lee for short."

"Nice to meet you," I smiled and shook her hand. "You're really pretty."

"Ooo girl thanks," She cheesed. "I can say the same for you. You're pretty too."

"Well look, I have to go to my next class now, so here's my number, just give me a call later and we can go over the project and figure out a day to meet up. Toodles." She handed me a piece of paper and scurried away.

I shook my head and laughed.

Looking at my watch on my wrist I noticed I had five minutes to get to my other class too as I hurried and made my way across campus I had accidentally bumped into someone and all my stuff fell on the ground. I kissed my teeth as I bent down to pick up my stuff and so did the other person as they helped.

"My bad shorty I ain't mean to bump into you," A male with a raspy deep voice apologized as chills sent down my spine as he spoke.

He helped me get back on my feet and we made short eye contact as I tucked a piece of my hair that was in my face behind my ear and he handed me some papers that fell when we bumped into each other.

"Oh no it's fine, I should've been watching where I was going." I replied back to him.

"Right, you're Aaliyah right? The one girl who always hanging out with Nina?" He asked.

"Yeah, that's me." I giggled.

"I knew it." He chuckled. "Rashads little sister too huh?"

I nodded again. "Yep, and you are?"

"Oh, my bad." He smirked. "I'm Lamonte, Bonita's big brother. I think you know her."

"Yeah, were somewhat cool I guess."
