Talk about being out of it!

It's been rusty, considering I haven't seen LoK in years at this point. Did you guys know a comic series for LoK is coming out? If you didn't, well now you know! Not sure if I can continue doing this, as official canon is starting to come out, but nonetheless I'll sustain this as long as I can.

Anyways...

As soon as the morning gong had rung, Kai was instantly out of his bed.

"Whoa, what's the rush?" Yung laughed.

"Sorry," Kai winced. "Just nervous."

"Whatever you say."

It didn't help that his nervous energy stayed with him all day. He inadvertently tuned out the academics that Tenzin was teaching, or Korra at the airbending gates. He was thoroughly getting trashed by the spinning panels, which were apparently holding a grudge against him. Surprising, considering he could dance his way through them like a breeze.

Not that he meant to, of course. Kai took his studies seriously. But it wasn't every day that he could go on a legitimate date with Jinora and not some quick escapade on the fly.

The flurry of activities through out the day meant it was only towards late afternoon did he finally have the opportunity to approach Korra.

"Where is she...?" He rounded a corner of one of the buildings in search for the Avatar.

And froze on the spot.

Korra, in all of her glory, was in an intense make-out session with a dark-haired woman. Their hands were practically roaming all over each other, tongue definitely in each other's mouths (seriously, who does that?), and—

He decided that it would be best to slowly back away from the scene and pretend nothing had ever happened. But he only managed to take a step before someone yanked him by the collar and slammed him against the wall.

"What are you doing here?!" Korra asked, a hint of irritation and surprise in her voice.

"Okay, calm down, sweetie." Asami rubbed circles into Korra's back. "He just stumbled in by accident."

"You're right." She dropped Kai, who promptly crashed into the ground in a heap. "Sorry."

He brushed himself and stood up. "That's okay."

"So..." Korra crossed her arms. "What's up?"

Kai looked around, checking to make sure nobody else was in the vicinity. "It's, uh...it's a personal thing."

"If that's the case, I can go somewhere else—"

"No, that's okay, Ms. Sato—"

"—Asami." Her eyes glittered.

"Sorry. Force of habit." Kai exhaled. "You can stay too, Asami. I'm pretty sure you'd also want to hear this."

Not to mention that I'm probably going to need her help too.

"Alright then. Shoot."

"How do I say this...I'm finally going on an actual date with—"

He didn't even have to finish before Korra and Asami slammed into him, squealing like fan girls. It was nice to be hugged by two beautiful women, but it didn't help if they were choking him.

"Can't breathe!" He managed to squeak. The two seemed to realize their mistake and released him from their grasps.

Nevertheless, they continued to squeal excitedly as he struggled to regain his breath.
