Chapter Ten: Best Dad In The World

Lily's Pov

I climbed onto the horse on a merry go round and watched Dad, Royal and Debbie get on too. It started moving and I smiled contently. I was finally able to let myself be happy and call myself a Jackson.

Once the ride stopped Dad looked at his watch and tilted his head to the side slightly. "We should probably go. We can get dinner on the way home" he said. We all headed to the car and buckled in. "Is everyone ready?" He asked looking over his shoulder. We nodded and the driver pulled out of the parking space, heading down the highway.

We stopped at a Chinese restaurant and there were many fans waiting by the entrance for Dad to get out. "Get the kids inside, I'll be in in a minute" he said to Debbie. She helped Paris and Royal out of the car and a bodyguard stood behind them, stopping anyone from getting too close. She ushered for me to follow but I stayed in the car watching Michael signing autographs on the other side. I opened the door and ran passed the fans to get to him. "LILY!" Debbie yelped. She tried to reach me but a bodyguard stopped her shaking his head.

I managed to run passed everyone and reached Michael. He glanced down at me and posed for a photo, leaning down to my height. I smiled brightly and felt elated. Even though I'd thrown his love back at him for years, he accepted me as his daughter and that was the best thing I'd ever experienced. I had a Father, someone I'd be happy to call my Dad. We walked into the restaurant and sat down at the table with Debbie, Royal and Paris. They were eating already and talking about the rides we went on at Disneyland.

A waiter stopped by our table and handed us a menu. "Just shout when your ready to order." Michael opened the menu and I looked at it too. "Do you know what you want?" He asked. I nodded and he called the waiter back. "What would you like to order?" He asked. He pulled a notebook out and smiled at us. "I'd like the the crispy tofu with cashews and honey pineapple sauce" Michael said softly. I noticed him waiting for me.

Oh could I please have the honey and garlic pork" I said in embarrassment. He wrote our order down and walked away. "So girls did you have fun today?" Michael asked. Paris and Royal started rambling on and thanking him but I just nodded and mumbled "thank you." He smiled and leaned over picking up a white bag. "Good I wanted you to remember today and always remember I'm here for you. We both are" he said gesturing to Debbie. "And to help you remember today forever and always I got you something" he pulled out three jewellery boxes and handed one to each of us.

We opened them and I couldn't help but tear up when I looked at it. It was a necklace with a pendant. My name was engraved on the front in cursive and the chain was beautiful. "Turn it over" he said. I flipped it over and saw more writing on the back.

"I wrote that song for all my children so you all have different lyrics to remind you that you can always count on me and each other" he explained.

"You are the sun. You make me shine" Paris read. "Or more like the stars
That twinkle at night" Royal continued. "You're my daytime my nighttime. My world. You are my life" I finished. "But Dad its missing some of the words" Paris pointed out. He smiled at her and shook his head. "No it's not" he pulled out a necklace that was hiding under his top and read what it said. "You are the moon. That glows in my heart." I started crying silently and read the front of his pendant that said Daddy.

"Lily what's wrong?" He looked at me with confusion and hugged me comfortingly. "You are the best Dad in the world" I said.
