We went to the ice cream parlor where Scott and me had our first kiss. I got a small chocolate cup while Scott and Grace got vanilla cones.
“Hey guys! I didn’t know you guys were going to be here.”
Oh no! Just the sound of his voice made me cringe. I wanted and needed to stay strong.
I turned around and faced Aaron.
“What are you doing here?” I asked.
“To hang out with my best friends,”
I smiled at that thinking he changed but what he said next just annoyed and angered me.
“And you too Nat…” he said sarcastically.
“Go away. I can’t deal with you.” I told him walking away to the trashcan.
“You are such a coward, Nat.” Aaron said loudly.
I clinched my fists close to keep me from screaming.
“Shut up.” I said quietly.
“Does Natalie not want me here?”
“No, I really don’t. Also can you stop calling me Natalie? It’s not what I want to called.”
“So you want to be called buy a guy’s name?”
“Aaron, stop. Leave her alone.” Scott said.
“Oh Natalie; getting your stupid boyfriend to fight your battles?”
“Aaron. Seriously, stop. You’re being rude.” Grace said crossing her arms in disappointment.
“Grace, I thought you were on my side!” Aaron said.
“Aaron, I am but I you are turning into someone I was trying to get away from.” Grace said trying not to let the tears fall.
Aaron’s face was getting red with anger and yelled, “No. Let’s go home now!”
“I don’t want to.”
“Grace, now!” Aaron screamed.
I saw Aaron start walking toward to Grace so I stood in between them.
“You aren’t touching her.” I told him.
“Oh really?” He had an evil smirk on his face.
“Over my dead body.”
“Okay.”
Aaron grabbed me by my waist and threw me, hard, and I hit something. I heard screaming and someone falling to the ground.
