In the morning when you wake up,

I like to believe you are thinking of me

calum placed his head on his pillow, he wanted to believe that he was getting better.

but everyone knew that he was just slowly getting worse.

he was always thinking of luke or was wondering if luke was thinking of him, calum really wished he was.

luke forgot to ring calum when he reached l.a, he was so tired and he forgot to ring him, leaving calum to cry.

it had been a week and luke hadn't rang him at all and calum was scared that luke hadn't remembered him, which is stupid because they were dating. luke just didn't have time to call calum because he was so busy.

"calum" he heard his mother yell from downstairs and calum closed his eyes tighter, "you're friends are here."

calum sighed and cuddled more into his blankets.

he only had to wait a couple minutes before ashton and michael were marching into his room..

"aye, calum" michael laughed as he sat on the lump on the bed, which was calum, "thanks for inviting us, we missed you too."

"get off" calum grumbled and that just caused michael to laugh more.

ashton sat down on calum's desk and laughed at the other boys.

calum finally gave up on trying to move michael and just let him sit on his legs.

"see was it that hard?" michael rolled his eyes, before erupting in laughs, realizing how he phased his sentence. ashton rolled his eyes and shared a look with calum.

"i can't believe we're friends with this idiot" ashton chuckled and calum nodded in agreement.

"oh i'm feeling the love guys" michael replied.

"why are you guys even here?" calum asked irritably, "can't you see i just want to stay in my bed all day and mop and think of luke."

"oh we know" michael answered, "that is why we have come," he smiled proudly, "to rescue you."

"go away."

"calum" ashton whined, "come on."

calum decided to take a different path for this conversation and did what he usually did these days, he brought up luke.

"have you spoke to luke lately?" he asked hopefully and this time ashton and michael shared a look.

"you know he's really busy" michael started to say and ashton interrupted.

"he hasn't spoken to us either, you know?"

"but i'm his boyfriend" calum replied sadly, "he was supposed to always talk to me, it's in the boyfriend contract."

"what boyfriend contract?" ashton raised his eyebrows, "michael, how come you never showed me the boyfriend contract, did you not love me enough?"

calum smiled at ashton's attempt to make him laugh but it didn't work and michael shrugged.

"it wasn't important, because we are both clingy motherfuckers, and we didn't need a contract to know to ring each other every night."

ashton nodded happily, "i agree with that."

"i appreciate you guys, trying to make me feel better," calum mumbled, "but still i'd rather just be alone to cry."

"oh shut up" michael groaned, "you're such a teenage girl," he rolled his eyes, "come on, cal, luke is probably have fun in l.a and you wouldn't know."

"i don't want to know."

"come to the comic book shop with us," ashton tried, "i promised i would take michael, i can take you too?"

"oh sweet" michael grinned, "come on, calum, join us!"

"fuck, fine" calum muttered, "i will."

"thank you" ashton laughed.

so the three boys went to the comic book store and stayed there for the whole day, as michael decided on which comic book would be the best for calum's sadness.

luke cuddled into calum's back and smiled into his shoulder.

"i love you, calum."

"i love you too, luke" calum murmured into the dark room, "but we really need to sleep, babe."

"i'd rather stay up and talk to you."

"luke, i'm serious, we have our science tests tomorrow, i need the rest."

"calum," luke was more quiet now, "calum, i don't want to do school anymore."

"join the club."

but then calum turned around to face luke in his bed.

"is something bothering you, lucas?"

luke nodded and calum's bit his lip but didn't say anything, waiting for luke to continue.

"if i pass this test tomorrow and all the other ones, i get to go to l.a to start my music career, because my mum knows how much that means to me."

calum stayed silent and luke pressed his lips on his and they shared a kiss.

"because i posted my covers on youtube, someone got in touch with my mum and they're ready to start something for me in l.a, calum, i could be famous."

calum nodded, afraid if he spoke he would start crying. so the two boys stayed quiet for a couple minutes before calum decided to speak.

"that's great babe, i'm really proud" calum whispered and he felt the first tear slip down his cheek, "do i get to come?"

luke reached for calum's face and he realized that his boyfriend was crying.

"yes, you get to come," luke whispered soothingly and wiped away calum's tears away, "i wouldn't go without you."

"promise?"

"i promise, calum." luke whispered softly and kissed the older boy again.
