“Looks like I won” He said, after finally releasing me.
Angelica and I did the usual girl sleepover things such as pillow fights, makeovers, nails, midnight feasts and lots of gossip, but there was one thing Angelica still wanted to talk about. Darnmy.
“Ate, I’m sleepy, let’s talk again tomorrow!” I said and quickly buried my face into my pillow trying to hide the pink…ness.
“nonono! You don’t! You’re never tired” She said pulling me back up.
“Okay.” I sat up crossed legged next to her on the bed while she looked up at me from the from the pink carpet.
She asked me how long I’ve liked him, I said forever.
I knew it was hard to believe since we had never actually talked since recently but it’s the truth, I’ve liked him ever since…
*Flash Back*
I heard someone call my name from behind me and turned around to see Darnmy leaning on the door near my chair. We were at another Filipino party.
I wonder what he wants. “Yes?” I called out.
He asked me to come and play with the rest of them outside with him. Surprisingly I agreed and walked behind him to the garden where everyone was in a little circle. I knew everyone there quite well, it was only Darnmy who I had never spoken to.
We must have all been around 10? Or younger, I can’t even remember.
We’ll anyway we were playing a game where everyone had to tell us who they liked and when it came to me Angelica interrupted and said “SHE LIKES JEFFREY!” everyone started laughing apart from me and Darnmy. And.. well, you know 10 year olds…It wasn’t much but it was enough to make me run inside and cry.
I stayed in the shed for about 2 minutes until a familiar looking boy came in, it was Darnmy. He sat next to me wiping my tears with his hand, and stayed with me for the rest of the party.
*End Of Flashback*
“awwwwwwwwww, that is so cute! *cough* YOU’RE WELCOME!” Angelica shouted out.
You’re welcome? “Why should I thank you?”
“SILLY! If it wasn’t for me you wouldn’t have cried!” She said proudly, smiling at me.
I was about to give her the most sarcastic response I could think of when my phone beeped making both of us jump.
“It’s Darnmy.” I said.
I opened the text.
“Oh My God!”
