Chapter 1: Forgiveness And Trust

Well, since the first original book got deleted, here's the second book for KuroxEve!Reader, I guess. Even though it was a pain, I still did it. Also, I was bored.

Kuro P.O.V

I look at (Y/N), her cheek still bleeding and she's looking away from me. I stop. "Ok, we're here." I jump down, then put her down. "Thanks, Kuro..." I nod as a response. I'm a danger to her. Whenever I got involved in her life, she's always hurt. She clutches my arm and lays her head on it, looking down as if this is her first time here, or as if she's some kind of shy girl. What's wrong with (Y/N)? "Kuro, let's go..." She says in a quiet tone. "Uh, ok..." I reply. We walk through the gates, (Y/N) still clutching my arm. I open the doors and see everyone huddled together. What're they doing? They all turn to us, but Mahiru runs up to us, crying. "Where have you guys been? And why're you like this?" He hugs (Y/N). "What happened? Don't leave me anymore! Whenever you do, you always come home hurt!" (Y/N) puts a hand on Mahiru's head. "Mahiru... I'm sorry, but, I have to." She looks up at her. "No, you don't! What're you even doing out there?"
"Mahiru." I cut in, putting a hand on his shoulder. Mahiru looks at me. "Just... Leave her for a bit, ok?" Mahiru looks down and sighs. "You're right... I'm sorry..."
"Lilly!" I call. Lilly nods and brings the first aid kit. He treats (Y/N)'s cheek and sighs. "There you go." (Y/N) nods. "Thanks, Lilly." Lilly smiles. "My pleasure." She turns to me. "Uh, I think we should go back now." I nod. "Ok." She holds Mahiru's hand and we walk home.

(Y/N) P.O.V

I look at Kuro, who's looking down. I'm worried about Kuro. He seems preoccupied with something. What is it, though? I sigh and look away.

(Time skip-((Y/N)'s house))

I hear voices coming from the room that Kuro's sleeping in. I quickly open the door and see Kuro sleep talking, with a scared and worried look on his face. Another nightmare? I climb onto the bed. "Kuro?" He starts shaking and breathing heavily. Oh no... I try to wake him up. "Kuro. Kuro! Wake up, come on! Ku-" I get cut off by Kuro cutting my arm with his claws. I groan in pain and clutch my bleeding arm. He can summon them in his sleep...? "Kuro, wake up!" His eyes shoot open and he gets up, huffing. "Kuro. Kuro, calm down." He looks at his claws and makes them go away. He looks at me. "(Y/N)?" I nod. He hugs me and I groan in pain. He pulls away and looks at me in confusion. "What's wrong...?" He asks. I shake my head. "N-Nothing. I'm fine." Then he catches his eye on my bleeding arm, the blood trickling onto the bed and soaking the bedsheets. He gasps and scoots back an inch. "Why're you...? Did I...?" I shake my head. "No, Kuro, I'm fine. Really." He puts his hands to his head and looks down. "What have I done...?" He gets off the bed and runs out of the room. "Kuro, wait!" But he had already left the room. I look down and sigh. Maybe he wants to be alone for a bit... I take the first aid kit from underneath the bed and patch my arm up.

Kuro P.O.V

I look at the city below from the balcony. What the hell is wrong with me...? She either gets hurt by someone else or me. I lie my arms on the rails and my head on my arms. How can she love a guy like me? I'm a monster... She's gonna hate me after what I just did to her... Wow... What a great SerVamp(!) Can I even ever protect her?! "Kuro?" A voice says behind me. I turn around. "(Y/N)...?" I shake my head and step away from her. "N-No. (Y/N), stay away from me." She shakes her head and walks towards me, then hugs me. "Kuro..."
"(Y/N)...?" She hugs me tighter and then she cries silently. "Idiot... Stop beating yourself up..."
"(Y/N), please don't cry..." I say. I look at her arm, which is now patched up. "(Y/N)." She hums in response. "I-I'm so sorry."
"It's ok." She says straight away. What...? "(Y/N)... I just don't understand you and others that are like you at all." She looks at me in confusion and wipes her tears away. "What do you mean? Did I do something wrong? A-Are you mad at me?" I sigh and shake my head. "No, you haven't, I'm not mad at you at all. That's Wrath's job, anyway. It's just... I just..." She hums in confusion. "How can you forgive me so easily like that...?" She smiles. "Because I trust you. Kuro, I know you're a good person." I blush. Does she really trust me...? "And I'm sure you didn't mean any harm to me, whatsoever." She continues. "Of course I can forgive you easily. And you say that like forgiveness is a bad thing." I look down. "Maybe..." She sighs. "Kuro, what's wrong? Do you hate-" I cut her off by hugging her. "Kuro...?" I shake my head. "Don't say that. I could never hate you." I hug her a little tighter. "I love you, (Y/N). Remember that. So, don't you dare say that again..." She slowly puts an arm around me. "I'm sorry, Kuro." I sigh. "Don't be. You've done absolutely nothing wrong."
"Kuro? You know about your nightmare that you just had...?" I hum in response. "How bad was it?" I shrug. "I... I don't know..." "Was it like your recent one?" I shake my head. "No. That one was worse." She nods. "I see... Kuro, why do you have nightmares now?" I shrug. "The hell if I know..." She chuckles. "I love you, Kuro." I nod. "I love you too." I say. "You know, I'm supposed to be protecting you, but, it seems like you're probably gonna do all the protecting at this rate..." She shakes her head. "Doesn't matter. I can protect you as well. No biggie." I roll my eyes. "Ok, whatever you say... But, I don't want you to protect me, though." She shrugs. "Still going to protect you." I sigh and lie my head on her's. "You don't need to do this, you know." "Well, I want to."

This seriously sucks, doesn't it?!
