"You still go to school?" Kuro moans through a yawn. I sigh. "Yeah, apparently..." I reply, putting my school stuff in my side bag. I fix my tie and turn to Kuro. "And you're gonna have to come with me." Kuro sighs. "I don't really have much of a choice, do I...?" I nod. "Yeah, sorry, but you don't. Distance limit, remember?" He looks away. "This 'distance limit' thing, it's such a pain... Kill me now, I don't care if I'm immortal..." I smile, then Mahiru comes into the room. "Oh, Mahiru. Are you all ready for school?" I ask, and he nods. "Yep." I hold Mahiru's hand and open my bag for Kuro to get into. Kuro turns into his kitten form and jumps into the bag.

Once I dropped off Mahiru, I walked to school. I open the classroom door and everyone turns to me. "Oh, (Y/N)'s here!" A couple of my classmates exclaim. "(Y/L/N)! Why are you late?" The teacher asks. "I-I'm sorry, Sensei. I had to drop off my, uh, cousin." He sighs. "Alright, then, sit down." I nod and sit down at my desk. "I'll start again, since (Y/L/N) was late and some of you weren't listening..." He turns to a boy who's asleep. "Hey, you! Wake up!" The boy wakes up, startled. He writes on the board and talks about some kind of festival. I put my hand up. He points at me. "Yes, (Y/L/N)?"
"I'm just curious, Sensei, but... What does this festival have to do with us?" I ask, then everyone nods at each other and whispers to each other. "I was just coming to that." He says, then everyone shuts up. "The reason why we are doing this, is the preparation for the festival. We shall all do different things for the festival preparations." Another student puts their hand up. Sensei points at them. "Yes?"
"Like what, Sensei?" They ask. "You know, snacks, costumes, proof reading of things, etc." Sensei replies. A girl puts her hand up. "You at the back." Sensei says. "About the costumes." She starts. "Why don't we choose (Y/N) for it? She's good at sewing and making costumes. You know, like the ones she did last year. Those ones were amazing, right?" Everyone nods. Sensei also nods. "Since everyone agrees..." He looks at me. "Do you approve of this?" I nod and smile. "Of course, I'll do it!" Most of my classmates cheer. Sensei chuckles. "Alright, settle down, students."
"So, what's the theme of the festival?" I ask. "I think it was Halloween..." He says, looking though his desk, then he nods. "Yes, it was Halloween, since Halloween's coming up and all." I nod. "Alright." He chooses other students to do other jobs, then the bell goes for lunch. "Class dismissed." Sensei says, then everyone walks out the room to go to the lunch hall. I put my bag on and walk out of the class. Kuro peeks out of the bag and yawns. "Is it lunch yet...?" I nod. "Yeah." I walk into the lunch hall and sit at an empty table. Kuro jumps out of the bag and turns into a human. I gasp and punch his arm. "Ow! What the hell, (Y/N)?! Why'd you do that?!" I frown at him. "I told you multiple times not to turn into your human form out in public!" He sighs. "Oh, right... I forgot. Sorry." I sigh. "It's alright..." He puts an arm around me and lies his head on my shoulder. I look in my bag for food and pass Kuro a packet of potato chips. "Oh, thanks." He says, his head still on my shoulder and his arm still around me. I take out a (favourite sandwich spread flavour) sandwich and look away, eating it. "What's wrong?" Kuro asks. I look at him. "Hm? Oh, nothing. Just a little tired... But what would you expect? This is school, after all." He shrugs. "Fair point." He sighs. "So, uh, what did I miss while I was asleep?" "Preparations for the school festival."
"A festival?" I nod. "Yeah. It's a Halloween theme, so I'm in charge of the costumes."
"Well, I guess they chose the right person. The ones you did last year was pretty good." I shrug. "Well, we'll see how these ones come out." He nods. "It'll come out great, no doubt about it." I blush and smile. "Thanks, Kuro." Then he pecks my cheek. "Of course. Anything for my beautiful Eve..." I hug him. "I'd do anything for you, too..." He sighs and hugs me back. We pull away from each other and I put my stuff in my bag. "Hurry up, Kuro." He looks confused. "Why?" He asks, with his mouth full. I look away from him, rolling my eyes. "The bell's about to ring in a bit, that's why." He shrugs. "I'm done, anyway." I raise my eyebrows. "Wow, that was quick!" I look around to make sure no one's watching. I open my bag wider, so Kuro could get into it. "Come on, Kuro, quickly, before anyone notices." He nods and turns into his kitten form, then jumps into the bag. Then the bell rings. "Oh, there it is."

(Time skip- End of The School Day (At (Y/N)'s))

While Kuro was playing video games with Mahiru, I was busy making the costumes for the school festival. Sure, I pricked my fingers multiple times, but I get used to it, anyway, since I nearly always do things like this. I turn around and look at what the boys are doing, then look back at the costumes. This might take quite a while, since there's quite a bit of us and we have different sizes. Ok, let's see... I pick up a piece of paper that I noted down people's sizes. Ok, chest size is 14 and waist size is 8. Ok, no problem with that. She's quite small, though... "How many times have you pricked yourself?" A lazy voice asks behind me, making me jump. I quickly turn around. "K-Kuro! What're you doing?! You scared me!" He sighs and looks away, scratching the back of his neck. "Sor-ry...!" I roll my eyes and turn back to the costumes. "You don't have to sound so mean when you apologise like that..." His arms wrap around me from behind. "Oh, really?" He asks. I nod. "Yes, really..." He pecks my cheek and lies his head on my shoulder. "Kuro, I'm busy..." I state. "Yeah, I see that... Anyway, what're you making?" He says. "The costumes, remember?"
"I know that, but what did you come up with for the Halloween themed festival?" I nod. "Oh, right." I point to my right. "It's over there."

Kuro P.O.V

(Y/N) points to her right to show me where the costumes that she finished are. I peck her cheek again and walk over to the costumes. What'd she make this time? I pick them up and look at them. A witch costume, a zombie costume- Hm? Is... This a vampire costume? Looks like the one Pride has. A Grim Reaper costume- Wow, this one's amazing! And the last one's a Demon costume. I put them back down, then realise that there's a costume on the floor. Oh, whoops. I think I dropped that one. I bend down and pick it up. What's this? A werewolf? I turn to (Y/N). "Hey, (Y/N)?" She hums in response. "What's this one supposed to be?" She turns to me. "Oh, it's supposed to be a wolf." Ah, I was close enough. "Why? Does it not look like it? Is it bad?" I shake my head. "No, no, it's great. I was just thinking if it's a werewolf or just a wolf." She nods. "Oh, ok." She turns back to the costume that is in progress. I walk up to her. "So, what're you making this time?" I ask as I look at the silky, white material. "Why don't you guess?" She replies. "A ghost?" She nods. "Well, it's pretty obvious, isn't it?" She hands it to me. "Can you put it over there, please?" I nod. "Ok." I take the ghost costume and put it where the other costumes are. I look at the wolf costume again. Hold on... That wolf costume looks like a jacket. "Uh, (Y/N)...?" She hums in response. "About the wolf costume..."
"What about it?"
"Is the guy who's gonna wear it gonna be bare-chested...?" She blushes and looks down. "Uh, yeah, pretty much..." She looks away and clutches her arm. "I-Is it stupid...? Do you not like it...? I can change it if you don't like it..." I sigh and walk up to her, then kneel in front of her. I hold one of her hands and press my lips on it, causing her to look at me. "It's fine. The wolf costume's great. You don't need to change anything." She smiles. "Thanks, Kuro." I stand up and lean in to kiss her, but then she stops me by covering my mouth. Huh? What's wrong? Does she not like it? She gestures at Mahiru. I look at Mahiru, who's now slowly turning his head away from us. Why do kids nearly always get in the way...? Can't deal... I sigh as she takes her hand away from my mouth. "Fine, fine." But I peck her cheek instead, making her smile. I just love her smile. It's adorable. "Are you done?" Mahiru asks, smirking. I frown at him. "Shut up." (Y/N) chuckles. "You guys are so weird..." Mahiru blushes. "M-Me?! Weird?!" She shrugs. "In a cute way."
"Oh."
