"Why?" I groaned, throwing my head back as I sulked to the desk furthest away, bumping my hip against Oliver's in the process

"Be careful, babe. Wouldn't want a hospital visit."

I grimaced. "Shut up."

"Ah-hoo, not very friendly." He chuckled while I sulked deep in my chair.

The door quickly opened an revealed a flushed looking McGongall.

"Well, well, Minnie. You're late." I observed with pursed lips, eyeing her as she glided to her cabinets.

"Cesari, unless you would like another detention added to the whole week you have lined up from your stunt in the court yard and more house points deducted, I suggest you behave as a proper witch should and watch your tongue."

I rolled my eyes.

"I need you to grade some more tests this evening by hand. No magic. Your wands, please?" McGongall held out her hand and I reluctantly placed mine in it.

"Good." A conniving little smirk made it's way on her lips, "Here you go."

A stack about two feet high was placed on each of our desks. My jaw hung. How the bloody hell was I to finish all of these in an hour?

She knew what she had done. That sneaky, sneaky woman. Well played old lady..

McGongall left Wood and I alone, taking care to lock the door behind her this time.

I heard him clear his throat.

My eyes automatically rolled themselves as I focused on anything but him.

A more exaggerated throat clear was made.

Some people just can't take a hint.

"Mrs.Wood!" He snapped, slapping a quiz to his desk. "I'd appreciate of you wouldn't ignore my presence!"

I smirked.

Ignore you, I shall sweetheart.

"Jessica!" He shouted, his scribbles getting louder with each test he finished.

To say that his frustration with me was amusing was an understatement.

"Oh, for fuck's sake!" I heard his bench scrape across the floor and he padded over to me. "I'm not meant to be disregarded!"

Aw, is somebody upset?

I tried to hide the grin that forming.

His large hands gripped either side of my desk, "Why are you paying me no mind?"

I didn't even look up from my stack.

"You know how I'm not too fond of being ignored."

I sucked my bottom lip, trying to conceal my satisfied smirk.

"You know what!" He shouted, pounding my desk with his hands. "I had to punch a Ravenclaw in the face today to get this detention with you!"

A sigh escaped my lips as I peered up at the moron before me with an eye brow raised. "Nobody told you to."

He huffed and puffed in his place. His eyes livid.

"All I want is to talk to you!"

I set my attention back on my quizzes. "That's too bad."

The furious growl he produced as he stomped back to his seat made me giggle with glee.
