"shit guys! it's the demogorgon! lucas help!"
"don't worry, dustin, i got you!" lucas yelled out, making fireball sound effects as he and dustin double handedly defeated the demogorgon.
"and, the demogorgon shrieks in pain, he shrieks again, struggling to his feet!"
dustin and lucas waited for mike's next call in anticipation.
"and...HE'S DEFEATED!" mike shrilled, as they all yelled "we did it!" together. this is what they would do all summer. dungeons and dragons was their favorite past time and their favorite game, but when september rolled around and it was time to go back to school, the group didn't have as much time to play anymore; only on fridays and saturdays, occasionally sundays. mrs. wheeler was quite laissez-faire about it. the three best friends did everything together, including AV club, sleepovers, even christmases. we're going to focus on one of the three in particular, and our story is focused on michael wheeler.
mike had loving parents, an annoying sister, two best friends whom he loved so well; he had it all. but somehow, he still felt empty inside. he felt like a jigsaw puzzle with one missing piece that was essential to complete the picture.
he wasn't sure what it was, but he was going to find out.
on the other side of the world, in seattle, another boy, much smaller than mike, was feeling empty as well. his name was william byers. he was petite and fragile, and had an overprotective mother and brother that he adored. byers had a soft soul, like that of a pink fluffy unicorn puppy. and his eyes were exactly the same.
his mother, joyce byers, decided to move to hawkins, assuming that they could start a better life there, after her divorce with lonnie, her ex-husband. little did will or mike know that their lives would be changed forever.
