Yay I'm actually putting effort into something worthy!

My stomach drops when I hear keys turning into the front door.
Oh shit homework
"Hellooo? Anyone home?" I hear my dad call from the front door.
"Yeah I'm here!" I call back. Not remembering that I don't have any pants on til the last second I yell out to dad.
"WAIT DAD STAY THERE"
"What? Why? Are you okay?"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah I just dont have any pants on. Let me go upstairs first!"
He chuckles after he hears what I said a patiently waits.
"Okay!"
I get up and grab my stuff before quickly heading upstairs into my room where I grab and put on a pair of shorts before anything else.
I laugh a lil at the thought of how stupid I sounded when I yelled out I don't have on any pants to dad.
I skip back down the stairs to greet him and say hi.
"Soo.. how was your day?" I ask
"Eh, it was tiring and boring but thank goodness I had a coworker save me by taking me to lunch and letting me get a break."
"That's good! Who was this coworker, if I may ask?"
"Oh it was just Meredith"
"Ooooooh who's Meredith?" I say in a funny tone
He raises his eyebrows with a look of 'seriously' on his face.
"She's just a coworker, and before you even think of it, that's all she's going t-"
"Is she cute?" I say before he can even finish his sentence.
"Oh my goodness, Orion!" He laughs and shakes his head.
"Oooooo I bet she is" I say teasingly
"Orion!" He scoffs.
"Oh my god, she is isn't she??" I laugh and continue to tease him about it for a few minutes.
························A few hours later·······························
We were both sitting on the couch watching tv and something in the show reminded me of the party this weekend end and I only had a few days left.
"Hey dad I have a little partycomingupandIwaswonderingifIcouldgo?" I spit out quickly.
He turn his head at me with scrunched eyebrows and with a weird high pitched voice said "wot?"
I smiled very widely and asked again but in a clearer voice.
Then... of course...the stream of questions that are along the line of,
"Who's gonna be there? Are there going to be adults? Does it cost money? Where is it? When is it? What time do you need to be there? What time do I need to pick you up? What is this for? Why do you want to go? Are there going to be drugs or alcohol?"
Somehow, I managed to correctly answer everyone of his questions and gave him the information of who use was going to stay with and who would pick me up and all the good shizz. And after an hour long conversation of who, where, when, and why he finally said yes! Mission accomplished...
