Lisa's POV

"So, have you ever been around the city before?" I asked Rosé. If we were stuck together exploring the city all day, might as well make some small talk.

She was surprisingly quiet, which I recognised as the image she often projected onto the public: quiet, shy Rosé. But for me, I was familiar with the savage Park Chaeyoung who made snarky comments and hated me. I hated her.

But sitting in this car, I didn't feel nearly as repulsed as I was before. I told myself it had nothing to do with me falling under Chaeyoung's unusual charms, like everyone else.

I sensed that Rosé will still bothered by something that prevented her from speaking. "Honestly, Chaeng. What's wrong?"

Rosé's gaze shot to mine as I recognised my mistake. 'Chaeng'? What was that? We weren't even friends and I had just made a nickname for her?

"I'm fine," she answered coldly, turning her gaze back to the window as we drove through the streets of the city.

Although she wouldn't tell me what was wrong, I had a feeling that it had something to do with Jisoo. I went up to her before YG asked to see us, and told her that she should be careful.

Kim Jisoo happened to have a little crush on a certain orange-haired girl.

When she told me, my original reaction was shocked. Sure, Chaeyoung was nice and pretty, but Jisoo made it sound like Chaeyoung was the greatest person in the world.

Is that what it felt like, being in love?

I wouldn't know.

"Miss Manoban and Miss Park, we have arrived," the driver announced. I decided to get out of the car first, seeing as Chaeyoung was still thinking deeply about something.

YG had appointed a bodyguard to trail us on our journey. Even though we weren't that well-known yet as we hadn't debuted, we had to be safe.

The driver had parked us right in front of a small nature park and as Chaeyoung had made her way inside already, I decided to follow her.

"Okay, you haven't been talking for the entire car ride and while we're walking. You've got to be thinking about something important," I told her.

Chaeyoung sat down at a bench and I had a feeling that this would be very serious conversation. "When I was younger, it was my dream to be a singer. I thought maybe I'd just be a pop singer, you know. But I'd never imagined I'd be in a kpop girl group."

I realised that it was the same for me. I'd wanted to become a dancer but I never thought I'd be flying to Korea and training to become an idol.

"Lisa, can we just have a break from this feud or whatever it is?" Chaeyoung pleaded. "It's exhausting and just like YG said, it's ruining us as a group."

What she said made sense. I found that sometimes instead of doing things for myself, I'd do it just to irk and annoy Rosé. And that wasn't healthy.

"As it's holiday season, I decree that there will be no fighting or hating," I said out loud as if I was announcing the winner of some award.

Rosé giggles and it was the first time I've ever heard her laugh genuinely.

"What do you say we take a walk?" She suggests to me. I nod my head and follow her when she suddenly turns around. "This doesn't mean that we're best friends now, Manoban."
