Lastly, Jason and Frankie are childhood friends and so they families are very close (you'll understand why I say this later). Theres a pic of Frankie attached to this chapter :)Anyway once again sorry and enjoy :)

"Well, kid hand it over." The guard was holding out his hand waiting for the trainer card. "Funny story about that..." I laughed nervously. "We don't have ours yet." Frankie spoke up. The guard's face was no longer friendly. Instead he turned around and walked over to his counter and started digging in one of his desk. Around us people began to stare.
"Psssst! How old are you kids?" It was Jerry asking from the bench across from us. "Ten." Both of us said in unison. "If anything just tell them you guys were with me." He said this and then coughed. Frankie turned to me and said "I don't think we should lie, what if your dad finds out?" Almost as if on cue, my dad walked through the doors.
He was dressed in his gym clothes which consisted of a red polo shirt with black and orange stripes. The shirt, like many others my dad wore, fit him tight enough that his muscles were clearly visible. He was wearing his khaki shorts with a pair of black running sneakers. His hair was tucked under his hat which he was wearing backwards.
He looked furious. My heart is basically somewhere in my stomach. My mouth opened to say something. I didn't have anything to say so I just closed my mouth. There were no words to explain my absence nor an excuse as to why I was in the forest without an adult.
People stared as he made his way over to us. Jerry's face was in shock. My dad's presence was enough to stop all the running around and confusion. "Who's the officer in charge?" He spoke to the whole conjunction. He stopped in front of me now and I suddenly had a new interest in the floor.
I hated when stuff like this happened. It was embarrassing and immediately my cheeks and ears went hot with embarrassment. "I am, Gary. These boys with you?" The guard from before asked with a pad of what looked like tickets. "They're not with me. Ask for their trainer cards to see if they're allowed to be alone." I see what he was doing.
He was going to let us get in trouble to teach us a lesson. Typical. "Already did they don't have any. Might have to take them to the station and lock them up till I figure out who they are." Right then I saw it. The guard winked thinking we wouldn't catch on.
"Go on and cuff them Ryan And what happened in the forest I saw smoke and it smells like it in here." My dad said. As the city's gym leader, my dad held the position of the head of the police department. He like all the other gym leaders were responsible for the safety of the city. "It seems like the fire was started. Everyone is ok we have zero casualties for Pokemon and humans alike, thanks to these two and Jerry over there."Ryan reported.
From his bench Jerry smiled and waved. "Thank you Jerry. May I ask where you're from?" Asked my dad. At that moment the conjunctions doors flew open. It was Sam. He was out of breath and in his lab coat. Dad turned to look at him and laughed. "You left me behind! On top of that we are late! I was planning on getting to the lab before the sun sets." Sam was furious.
"Well these two here decided to play rangers here and ended up in a forest fire." Dad explained. "Sir." It was a detective. He went up to the guard and whispered something to him. Jerry and my dad exchanged glances. "Yes, I see... Very well. Gary we need to talk it seems like there's more to this fire than we think." Ryan's face was filled with deep concern.
"Ok. Sam take these two. I'll be speaking to both of you later. Frankie tell your mom I'll call her to explain when I get a chance." Dad barked his orders and we got up from our seats. "Jerry you might want to come with us." The sternness in his voice told me he wasn't suggesting it.
