Mia

I've been to Goldenrod a few times. Mostly on trips to the Shopping Center with my mom, but also for the occasional errand with my grandfather. These trips usually occurred while I was home from the Ecruteak City Theater Academy.

I was familiar with the city but not from this height. The wind was deafening and causing my long hair to whip behind me. From here I could see the rooftops of buildings, the Magnet train, the flashing lights of the Game center, the Raido tower and of course the Johto Pokemon Academy all the way west of the city. The Academy was relocated from Violet City a few years ago. I guess they thought it made more sense to put it in the heart of the region. Goldenrod was the center of business and life for Johto.

The Tropius' great leaf wings were spread out wide on either side of us. I noticed that we slowly began to decline and it seemed like Aiden was planning on landing on the top of the Shopping Center. As we approached the building Tropius let out a loud roar to alert the people on the roof to get out of the way. The shoppers scrambled out of the way, many of them on the phone or holding numerous bags.

"This is your stop guys. I can't land completely because it's illegal this is the best I could do." Aiden's deep voice stated as we hovered over the sun roof. The shoppers all stared as Dale and I slid off the Tropius' back. The jump was only about two feet so it wasn't that bad. I turned and waved good bye to Aiden and his Tropius as Dale yelled "Thanks man! I'll see you soon!" Aiden saluted and Tropius took off.

"Welcome to Goldenrod." Dale said as he held out his hands. "Thanks, but I'm familiar with this area." I laughed. I looked around and it was just as I remembered. The shopping center wasn't as tall as the Communication Tower a few blocks away but it was high enough that you got a great view. Railings kept viewers from falling and there were telescopes that you could use for a coin.

Benches were scattered lining around the railings leaving the center empty with a picture of a pokeball decorating the ground. "Thirsty?" Dale asked as he walked to a vending machine and got us some water. "Thanks." I smiled."The station's billboard says that the next train leaves at 4:30. It's 2:15 now. I have to run some errands later but I could introduce you to some of my friends if you want to kill time?" He asked then took a swig of water.

"Yeah that sounds like fun actually. Let's see what your all about." I grinned. He returned a nervous smile. We headed down to the ground floor through the elevator. As the doors opened, a new crowd of people began to make their way out of the elevator. Thankfully it was very spacious because we were joined by six other people.

We ended up being pushed together in a corner, really close. "Um sorry.." Dale flashed a shy smile as he pressed against me. "It's cool." I smiled. "Honey, did you get everything? I don't want to hear you forgot to buy something later on." A woman spoke to whom I assumed was her daughter. "Yes mom, I have all the supplies. Plus, if anything we could always pick something up at Saffron. I just want to get the gift so that I dont miss the train." The girl had blonde curly hair and was wearing a pink hat that went along with her pink blouse. She was carrying a lot of shopping bags and looked irritated. The doors opened up and everyone flooded the lobby. We made our way past the counter and outside.

The city was bustling with business and fast paced people. We headed north towards the tunnels. The plaza outside the Train station and Com Tower we filled with people. "Different right? From Azalea Town, I mean." Dale said. " Yeah there's so many people and everyone seems to be in their own bubble. I wonder if-" I was interuppted by a shout. " Get back here! Ahhh!" I turned and saw a pack of Eevees running away from a little boy who was on the ground. Their leashes dragging behind them as they ran towards the Pokemon Academy. Dale turned and gave me a questioning look. "We should go help." he said. He jogged over to the younger boy who was dusting himself off. He looked to be no more than 10 years old. He wore a blue shirt and black shorts. I caught up to Dale just as he asked " What happened?"
