"Blackthorn huh? That's a pretty cool. We saw when you two arrived. We were by the academy when your Salamance flew overhead." Dale said as he messed around with his Holocaster. "Yeah not my style of entrance but, hey. So, Mia what are your plans?" I asked changing the topic. I had enough about my "grand entrance".

"Well, I want to be a trainer and participate in contest. Right now I'm trying to get to Pallet to get my trainer card. After that I have no idea where I'll be headed to." Mia replied.

I myself had no idea where to start. All I ever knew was Blackthorn. For a long time I thought I would stay there and eventually take over the gym. My older brother is currently in charge of it but, his wife will be giving birth soon. Mom will take over again for a while and then I planned to take it after her. But, I think I can achieve more than just become a gym leader. By being the champion I'd be both region's leader. I guess I would have to start from Pallet town then work my way back to the Johto region. "I plan on becoming the champion. But, we will see how that plays out." I smiled.

"Well, I want to be the best ice trainer in the world! Every dragon type trainer will fear me!" Emma butted in. Dale and Mia laughed while I sighed at the girl's excitement.

"I can't seem to access the Kanto region's map on this thing." Dale complained messing around with his Holocaster. "Here, let me see it." Mia held out her hand and began to press a few of the buttons. "Here." She smiled. Dale gave her a look of confusion. "My dad works at Silph Co." He gave a nod of understanding. Mia then frowned.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"He works at the Saffron City base. I ran away from home. That's how I met Dale. He helped me escape. Now, I'm going to have to sneak my way past the dozens of coworkers to get through the city."

"Oh!" Exclaimed Emma. "That's easy! We just cause a distraction!"

"That's not that bad of an idea actually..." Dale chimed in.

"What do you have in mind?" I ask Dale. He sneered and said "It involves our two celebrities here." I frowned immediately.

"Great another grand entrance. Fine. We can create a distraction. But, that means that you and Dale have to move quickly and meet us by the conjunction."

"Sounds like a plan." Dale said as he leaned his head back on his seat. The trip lasted another hour. Eventually, Emma fell asleep too and it was just Mia and I until the train attendants came by with snacks.

I stared out at the view of the ocean as we exited the tunnel in between the regions. Water Pokemon, boats and ships cruised by as the train rushed on. The setting sun caused the ocean to sparkle in a marvelous orange. In the distance, the clouds were dark and stormy. A storm was coming. The view lasted all of 3 minutes before we headed back into a tunnel.

When we finally got to Saffron it was half past eight o'clock. Other train passengers rushed out of the station. Some hailed cabs, others walked away knowing their destinations. Our group stood on the sidewalk in front of the station, deciding which way to go. The Silph co. headquarters stood in the center of the city. The high rise building was visible from anywhere in the city. The night was breezy and the storm clouds were easing their way over the city. It was going to rain soon. Thanks to the weather we wouldn't have to worry about sneaking Mia around.

"We better hurry up and get to Diglett's cave if we are going to avoid the storm." Dale said as he looked around the area. Apartments lit the city. The Dojo also provided light for the block. The gym next door was closed and looked abandoned. People were still wandering the streets but, seemed to be in a rush. We weren't the only ones trying to get to shelter before the rain begins to pour.
