"We better go after him, Sango," Kagome said, trying to be calm despite the serious trouble.

"Right," Sango agreed. Kirara transformed then Kagome and Sango got on her. They followed InuYasha far away from the village. They were stunned to see him stop along his tracks a few minutes after.

"Get me to him, Kirara," Kagome murmured. Kirara landed a few feet away from InuYasha. Kagome got down from the fire cat and slowly walked towards the hanyou.

"InuYasha," Kagome called. InuYasha didn't respond, instead he continued to look down to the ground. Kagome moved closer and closer to the hanyou, she then hugged him tightly. "Don't worry, InuYasha. We will find and save Kuniome."

InuYasha hugged Kagome back. "I'm sorry, Kagome. I should've been protecting her."

"It's not your fault, InuYasha," Kagome told him.

"We have to find either Miyoga or Sesshomaru," InuYasha said. "They are the only ones who knows where the border between this world and the afterlife is."

"You mean you don't remember how to get there?" Kagome mumbled.

"I don't really have a memory as good as Miyoga's," InuYasha yelled.

"Who doesn't remember where their father's remains are located?" Kagome asked rhetorically.

"Would you stop fighting?" Sango interrupted. "You two are married, for God's sake. And we have to find your daughter."

"She's right," InuYasha mumbled. "I'm sorry, Kagome."

"I'm sorry too. It's all my fault," Kagome apologized.

"InuYasha, could you try to pick up Sesshomaru's scent?" Sango murmured.

InuYasha tilted his head up and started sniffing. "He's close by," InuYasha announced. "Come on, Kagome."

Kagome got on InuYasha's back and they were on the move again, with Sango and Kirara following close behind.

After a few minutes, they came across Sesshomaru battling a demon. He apparently destroyed the demon without the use of his Tenseiga.

"Sesshomaru," InuYasha called. Sesshomaru turned to look at his brother.

"What's the dilemma?" Sesshomaru asked.

"I'm guessing you still remember where our father's remains are located, " InuYasha replied.

"Of course I remember where father's remains are located," Sesshy added.

"Could you tell us where, Sesshomaru?" Kagome begged.

"Better than that, I can take you there. I've been planning to visit father anyway," Sesshomaru offered.

"Thanks, Sesshomaru," InuYasha said thankfully.

"Is there anything that's bothering you?" Sesshomaru asked.

"Kuniome has been taken away from us," Kagome replied.

"Is Rin safe?" he questioned.

"She is," Sango answered.

"Jaken, you know what to do," Sesshomaru ordered. Jaken nodded and ran off somewhere.

"Remember, I still loathe you, InuYasha," Sesshy added. "Me helping you doesn't mean I don't hate you anymore."

"We will always hate each other, Sesshomaru," InuYasha said. "That will never change."

"Alright," Sesshomaru finally mumbled. "We should get going if you want to save your daughter."

Sango got back on Kirara and Kagome on InuYasha.

Sesshomaru started leading the way. He seemed like he was flying. But he was actually running.

"Keep up," Sesshomaru yelled when InuYasha was left far behind with Kagome.

After a few hours of running, InuYasha started to get exhausted. Sesshomaru noticed him, and decided to take a rest for his little brother's sake.

"We should stay here for the night and continue the run tomorrow," Sesshomaru ordered.

InuYasha didn't complain. Kagome got down off of him and held his hand. "Are you alright, InuYasha?" Kagome asked.

"I'm fine, Kagome. I'm just a bit tired that's all," InuYasha replied, panting.

Kagome reached inside her backpack to get the bottle of water. She gave it to him. InuYasha emptied the bottle in less than 40 seconds.

Kirara landed on the ground and Sango got off of her quickly. Kirara transformed back to her small form,  failing to maintain her balance, she fell to her side.

"Kirara," Sango mumbled and picked up Kirara into her arms.

"What's wrong with her?" Kagome asked Sango.

"She's exhausted from flying," Sango replied.

Away from the others, Sesshomaru lifted his head up and started listening to the surroundings. He heard the rushing of water.

"There's water nearby," he told the others. "Do you think you can manage to walk?"

Kagome glanced at InuYasha and then to Sango. Sango nodded.

"We'll try," She finally replied.

They walked for a few more minutes until they finally arrived at a spring.

As soon as they arrived, InuYasha sat on the grass underneath a tree. Kagome followed and sat beside him, resting her head on his shoulder.

Sango got to the spring and got Kirara to drink.

Sesshomaru walked farther from InuYasha and the others, under another tree and sat down.

"InuYasha," Kagome whispered, still resting her head on the hanyou's shoulder.

"What is it, Kagome?" he asked.

"Are you scared?" Kagome added

"I'm not scared, I'm just worried," InuYasha replied. "I didn't expect for any of this to happen."

Kagome didn't reply. Knowing what he was feeling.

"But I still can't forget the time that I was so scared," InuYasha added. "Scared of loosing you, Kagome."

InuYasha adjusted his position so his head was resting on Kagome's lap. Kagome leaned down to press her lips to InuYasha's.

Sesshomaru was eyeing the two lovers. He was astonished. He knew what his father's intent was. Tenseiga was meant for him, because his father - The great Inu no Taishō - wanted him to have someone to protect - and at least give him some advice. Then, Tetsusaiga was meant for InuYasha so he would have a strong weapon to use to protect someone he loves. That was the reason why Tetsusaiga transformed when InuYasha told Kagome that he would protect her, Tetsusaiga wanted InuYasha to realize why it was created.

Sesshomaru sighed and slowly closed his eyes.
