Manny POV

My brain kept thinking about the kiss that we shared in the private room. His face was so enchanting and I couldn't help but daydream while my professor explained the lab that the class was going to perform today.

"Okay everyone, grab your fixed slide and take the crystal violet dye, this is the next step when it comes to gram staining." the professor yelled out towards us more so towards my table. It took me a minute to realize that everyone was looking my way which caused my head to hide in shame and embarrassment.

"Someone is fantasizing over there, hopefully, it's about me." Jaked teased. My head snapped up as I squinted at him in disgusted. "You have me confused with Michelle..." I sneered back but in a whisper because I didn't want the professor to call me out again.

"Imani, maybe you can answer this questions for the class since we are boring you." I heard a voice say. My focus left Jake and back to the front of the class "sorry, what was the question? My ears seemed to be clogged today" I claimed. This made the class laugh at my lie while the teacher just smirked in amusement before repeating the question.

"What is the name of the bacteria that would have dark purple color and why does the color stick?" the professor repeated.

"The name of the bacteria is gram-positive when the purple dye is attached to the wall and it is made of thick peptidoglycan layer which allows to this attachment from the crystal violet dye" I answered. The class looked at the professor and I waiting for the response, I can feel that they wanted to me to be wrong but I knew my answer was right.

"Correct!" He exclaimed with a clap of hands before turning back to the whiteboard. Everyone gazed left my face and I was happy for it. The class went back as usual as my teacher kept talking allowing Jake to say a smart response before going back to his slide.

*** later that night***

"Bòidheach, How are you?" a deep asked on the other line of my phone. It took me a minute to put two and two together before realizing that it was Benjamin.

I let out an unconscious breathe before responding "Hello, Mr. Scott." This only made him chuckle, his laugh made my body feel like I just gulped down a cup of hot chocolate on a winter night. "How did you get my number?" I asked. Somehow I knew that he was going to have it but my curiosity still wanted to know how it was possible for him.

My question seemed to have only made a laugh come through my receiver once again

"Tha mi ceanglaichean" He stated. My face scrunched up waiting for him to explain in a language that I knew and loved..."ENGLISH!" I screamed out.

"It would probably surprise you but I don't speak any other language but the beautiful English" I responded back sarcastically. He completely ignored my statement "Come outside!" he exclaimed before hanging up the phone. I was kind of annoyed because not only was I exhausted from the party last night but my class was 3 hours long and my day isn't over yet. Sleep never sounded so good until now. Opening my door there he was tall and sexy. He had on a navy blue suit, a tie that held different patterns with a white color shirt under it, I never knew navy could look so well on someone until this very moment. It was weird to see him when the sun was still out even though it was starting to set since it was six o clock because of daylight savings.

"You see something you like?" He asked with a smirk. I couldn't help but roll my eyes before walking up to him. My armed cross over my torso because I wanted to play it cool "maybe" I answered with a shoulder shrug. He looks down at me before pulling me embracing my body towards his very own.

"You look so good." He complimented. I felt my face heat up as hands trailed down my ponytail. My hair was still straight from last night "I miss your beautiful curls bring the back..." he mumbled against my head. I could only nod because his body was so inviting. I was hesitant to pull back from him but I really wanted to know what he was doing outside of my place.
