"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday....Happy Birthday to you~"

"Happy Birthday our dearest strawberry ~" I looked up and smiled wildly as Mom and Dad sang to me. I ran up to them and gave them a big bear hug.

"Mommy! Daddy! Thank you!" Happily, we all giggled and chatted before Dad came to the kitchen and got a red velvet cake. My eyes widened and sparkled, and my parents smiled at my reaction.

"Now boy, come and blow the candles." Dad said after lighting those pink striped sticks. I nodded and ran to him.

"Go on and make a wish." Mom's gentle voice passed my ears, making me smile in delight. Excitedly, I closed my eyes and thought of something I've always been wishing.

'I wish...that this is all real.'

Of course, it won't happen.

I opened my eyes and saw that lonely white ceiling facing me. Without any emotion, I stood up and strode to the bathroom. I faced the mirror and saw how horrible I look.

I never knew that a soon-to-be 6 years old boy could look like a total mess. It was just then when I noticed something on my face.

'...tears?'

I shrugged it off and took a shower. After that, I somehow feel refreshed and my mood gone up a little bit. Walking down the long stairs, I saw that the maid already went home.

My parents hired someone to take care of me while they're gone, though I don't like strangers. That's why I wrote a letter  ,also with the use of Dad's stamp, that says she can leave for the Holidays. She's happy of course, knowing that she can spend time with her family back home.

How nice.

I went to the kitchen and saw that she got the mail before leaving. I must say, she's really kind. It's not like I hate her or anything, but I don't like her either.
