Rosalie coughed one more time into her bathrooms previously unused toilet, and watched as the dinner she'd eaten an hour before with Winny and her father was flushed down the pipes. It was times like that, when Rosalie remembered exactly what it was about being human that she didn't miss, that Rosalie began to wonder why it was she was making such an effort to be part of Winny's life. Rosalie detested Bella, a fact she'd made obvious many times, and Winny should have been no different. Bella was human. Winny was human. They both still had their lives ahead of them while Rosalie was frozen in time, forever young and forever wanting more.
Only Rosalie couldn't see Winny like that, no matter how hard she tried. Winny was nothing like her sister, she knew actual pain. And Rosalie understood her. So the two of them began an unlikely friendships, much to the bafflement of those around them.
